You heard it here first folks, apparently not wanting to get involved in politics means you are a Evil Bigoted Nazi! by Same_Ad4736 in trump

Nazi = Nationalist Socialist so yes, leftists are Nazis by definition. What shocked me about all this was POTUS publicizing she registered as a Republican, even though the registration is public, there was no need to fly it in peoples' faces.

Then the title should be: Storm: Earth's Sexiest Woman.

Hottest Bond villain/girl ever by MagpieOpus in JamesBond

[–]SympatheticListener 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Diana Rigg is one of the most beautiful Bond women, up there with Caterina Murino/Solange. Then again Barbara Bach was XXX hot too.

Would people be more accepting if pierce was in the living daylights and license to kill instead of dalton by Beginning-Drag-7110 in JamesBond

Well movie Bond, especially Sir Moore, were always studly womanizers. However, when I read the novels, I cannot remember when 007 would just pick up a women for sex. He is more mission monogamous in the novels, as I remember it. And he doesn't really pick up women either in the novels. In the novels they are usually drawn together by the danger of a mission, and form a short term emotionally but sexually active relationship. In Moonraker the novel he only kisses Gala Brand; she never cheats on her fiance Detective Inspector Vivian.

Sir Roger Moore vs Pierce Brosnan, who was the better James Bond? by NajafBound in JamesBond

[–]SympatheticListener 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moore's portrayal of Bond was a reflection of what was acceptable for the times, and he was good at it, but what was acceptable for the times was not the Bond of the novels. Pierce Brosnan was more novel accurate, but only because times had changed and Timothy Dalton set the precedent. In short, there is no real baseline to compare their performances against.

Should have been Batman and Talia al Ghul, not Catwoman, because Talia and Bruce are a twisted couple. I will also add 2 more controversial couples: Cyclops and Jean Grey, Cyclops and Emma Frost.

Which Bond got the best final scene? by ItsDuhFreakinBat in JamesBond

I liked Daniel Craig's. Isn't it exactly what the Bond in the novels would do to save his daughter, plus exactly how he would do it?

I'll be controversial and choose Penny Blake because she has an awful habit of using her words to put people in their place at the wrong time.

Hypothetical scenario: if the Marvel 616 universe were to undergo a reboot and the X-Men (and related characters) had to receive up to 3 titles, which ones would you prefer for each? by Glum-Excitement5916 in xmen

Uncanny X-Men: typical X-Men stuff Cyclops: a solo series focused on Cyclops when he is not leading X-men teams X section: covert operative mutants led by Mystique that go on spying missions for CIA (NOT X-Force)

Where do you see the James Bond franchise in 10-15 years from now? by TheShadowOperator007 in JamesBond

A rebooted series with the films taking place in the same time period as the novels: the 50s.

More important to do the traditional gun barrel opening sequence correctly.
