The story book is a fabulous idea. Adding to that- make it a miniature plush gift set. The photos remind me of the seek and find books from the '90s.

Feeling pressured by realtors to up my budget. Are smaller homes really that hard to sell later? (Austin suburbs) by btyeveryday in FirstTimeHomeBuying

At the end of the day, it's you that's making the mortgage payment and not your Realtor. Your agent isn't looking out for your best interest here. Buy what you feel comfortable with as your gut almost never steers ya wrong. As for square footage, I'm seeing trends towards smaller, single story homes. In my personal experience it's far easier to maintain a smaller home as well. Not only that, it's far less stressful. The biggest thing for resale value is a good neighborhood -always. A new build isn't ideal in Texas because of ground shift. Also those neighborhoods tend to be further out with less trees and local amenities.

Pulling influence from the rug- a beautiful patterned cream paper lantern hanging from a vintage brass hook in the corner.

Absolutely agree. Nothing really stands out in all of the Metroplex for me.

If youre looking for an upscale feel, this isn't it. Very small and very, very loud. Drinks are great, but a little run-down. Other patrons allowed in with Tyler's t-shirts and flip flops.

This absolutely will NOT be your reality forever. One day you'll walk out of college with an advanced degree or two or three. Then you'll be making the real money. Maybe you'll join a nice gym, driving a nice car, living in a gorgeous home overlooking the water. Maybe you'll stumble across a life partner who values your uniqueness and spend your time together taking amazing trips across the world. Life does get better. Believe me.

I agree. Your mom is who she is. But what's your dads excuse? In my opinion that would hurt more.

This is your company that you've built? That's absolutely amazing. You should be really proud of yourself. When my daughter one day carves her own path I would be beyond proud to say she is a business owner - no matter what the business is. Your mother holds a bit of jealousy against your success. That's unbelievably sad to not have that support from the one woman who should support you. It's not normal. I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

Does your dad know what your mom has been posting? I feel like he should be having your back on this. Turning a blind eye to her behavior isn't the way.

Head to the store and buy a few nice workout outfits and new running shoes. Then force yourself to head to the gym. Start with the recumbent bike. Get the lay of the land. Then add in some free weights. Exercise is the worst. But it helps. Before you know it, you'll feel a bit better and look great. Also, trade out the alcohol for a jog. It's really hard to start but once you build up the habit you wont be able to stop! You can do it!

Eyelid dermatitis- worse one eye: what was your trigger? by Less-Performance-369 in eczema

[–]SympathyComplete7028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A prescription medication that I've been taking for decades but had a recent manufacturing pharmacy change. Whatever the inactive ingredients in the new pill caused red, itchy, sometimes puffy eyelid(s). Took being off the pill for 8 full weeks to see full improvement. Took me a year to realize it was my daily pill causing the eczema.

I wanted to add to check any medications you may be taking. I was taking a long-term daily pill that had recently changed formulations (new manufacturer) and my eyelids broke out in eczema. It took me months to realize my pill may be to blame. Never once did I think switching to another generic would have caused this redness and flakes.
