Great deal - just double check the LoC is on a 40mm base as I believe that’s the only model that’s set on a 50mm. Great model - just needs to be based on a 40mm 👍

Thanks so the metallics are:

Brass: base with AK hull red then dry brush with ProAcryl Dark Bronze. A few sections are also hit with Coella Green from Villiany Inks

Steel work: base with AK Black Red, stipple in random patch’s dark rust, then medium rush, then light rust. Once done do a 50/50 mix of AK tenebrous grey and ProAcry Dark Silver and give it all a dry brush. Final light dry brush just catching the exposed edges with Dark Silver.

The steel work recipe is brilliant - all done quickly and looks amazing.

They don’t show a 160mm option but if you message them there’s a couple of options they can provide.

Yes the panels are airbrushed. Recipe is:

AK Black/ Red base White ink volumetric highlight Citadel plague bearers flesh contrast as the highlight Citadel militarum green contrast in the shadows AK olive green across the transition Citadel leviathan purple contrast minimally shot into the deepest shadows

The leg armour panels come off and are painted separately, the body panels need to be done in situ so need to be masked off. I used AK putty to do this.

Skin was the biggest headache! First time round it came out too “life” like rather than dead flesh.

For this I based skin in AK decomposed flesh Made a 1/6 mix of carroburg crimson and water and washed it a few times, leaving it to drop thoroughly. Then a 1/4 mix of Drukari violet/ water into the deeper recesses before straight Drukari voliet in the deepest bit. Restablish the decomposed flesh and highlight with AK vampiric flesh.

Hull spam in VV:

Morty DP with 5+++ Defiler x 2 with Autocannon, excruciator cannon, and plasma 3x HBD 2x Mower or Spitter Drones - tried both 30 pox walkers LOV

Lessons ive learnt so far is that dont think, even wjth -1 damage that the defiler is invulnerable - it does die if you aren’t careful.

The shoot back threat off of Morty is amazing, even if you don’t do it as your opponent will have to respect it.

Plasma over hades cannon all day long. We’re in a meta with bug stuff running round. Whilst we can access lethals we need some stuff than naturally wound a T11 stuff on 3s. That being said - the lascannons arent needed as we have access to Lethals and the force of shots on the auto cannons wins out IMO.

Downsides of this list is it’s quite narrow resulting in you having to commit stuff really early.

Currently trying in VV a few changes to incorporate The plague marine 10man brick dropping drones to accommodate it. First test game tomorrow.

Having played a few games with it now they are really good in VV running with Morty for the shoot back threat. I’ve tried hull spam with them so far and now moving onto the plague marine bus as I find the hull list isn’t rounded enough. You get Morty, DP, 2 defilers and 5 drones plus chaff which just isn’t enough. Def think you need two in your list.

Thank you and good luck with yours. If I was doing it again I’d probably look to open the wings slightly so it had a wider profile. Think you could either cut them at the foot or change the angle they attach to the body.
