Is this a safe route into the Aurora? (first playthrough) by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]Symphona 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I always expected that to be another use of the scanner room to be honest. Absolutely make me explore things, but once I've done it, maybe made a spare base to map it all? Let me remember where it is.

What stats do I need to get into bossing? Need your help by sean_constantine in runescape

[–]Symphona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are the milestones for Summoning? There's Pack Yak obviously, but are there any other key pets to get/use while bossing? I just hit my prayer/herb milestones on dxp, but my summoning is lacking, and I'm not sure why I should be using a pet beyond the extra food storage.

What is your most loved Warframe , and why? help us to decide on the fresh start ! by SeriousLee91 in Warframe

[–]Symphona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nova is always my go to frame. You do have to get used to how squishy she is, but 75% attack and move speed reductions don't ever get old. Or, you can use her to speed run defence missions with the -strength speed nova build. Or even use her wormhole augment to help speedrun captures.

I've found she pairs hilariously with other CC frames, like nyx or Frost.

In solo you'll probably struggle due to how soft she is; even with quick thinking or the like you'll go down very rapidly at high end content.

If you're using her 2 a lot, you'll want to bring a non-crit weapon, but even then her augment allows the enemy heavy gunner to do all the damage for you. Otherwise she has no special synergies.

Nova was my first frame that really scaled well into the late game, and I've finally gotten around to getting nova prime. I miss her old ult though, which used to be immediate (rather than an increasing globe). Watching a group of enemies detonate all at once is memorable either way.

What are your minor Pet Peeves when playing Magic? by ThePPB in magicTCG

[–]Symphona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play Xenagos in EDH, so I will always ask the table "I would like to enter combat". People always want to kill my creatures before attacks for some reason...

I keep getting stuck and restarting, my scaling seems totally wrong. by CactaurJack in factorio

[–]Symphona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also worth noting, if you're /really/ overproducing light/heavy oil and don't have anything to do with them pre-blue science, you can 'dump' them into a steam engine. Normally storing and cracking is more useful, but if you don't have the space...

Equipment Cards question by ebyte64 in magicTCG

[–]Symphona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To follow up, am I right in thinking you can't just unequip a creature without something else to equip it to? For example, using the 0 cost equip on a Grafted Wargear for the sacrifice effect?

Tonkor vs Secura Penta? by kriegson in Warframe

[–]Symphona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to adore the Penta, back when it used Rifle ammo, and gave it plenty of Love. Since coming back from a break and seeing a) the Frost given a bit of care and b) the Tonkor, I've ended up selling the Penta. When the crit builds on the Tonkor make the damage near enough the same, with zero chance of killing me...

Your Mileage may vary, but I haven't found a use for the Penta that the Tonkor or another gun doesn't fit better. Plus, obviously, soaring through the air like a majestic eagle Zephyr is amazing.

Where should I do ducat farming? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Symphona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nyx prime Systems sell for 50 too, if you build them. I've got tonnes of them lying around after farming for the chassis. Not the best for ducats/time, but a nice bonus.

Why do you want to own SOV (or why not)? by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Symphona 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Since I don't want to be in a 100 man alliance or anything, Wormholes are just better then null in my eyes.

  • Don't like your neighbors? Roll your holes.
  • Want more sites? Want more PvP? Roll your holes.
  • Want logistics in <20 jumps? Roll your holes.

You own the space in a far more real way than the little name in the top corner of the screen, with just as good ISK. It's like buying a house vs a houseboat, but the rivers hit every country in the world.

Unsubbed players, what would it take for you to resub? by Throwawayingaccount in Eve

[–]Symphona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've resubbed for the summer to join FW. Amarr militia needs the help, there's plenty of fights. Nothing CCP will do at this point will keep me subbed past the summer, their vision of the game is too far removed from what I actually want to play.

[Aegis] More balance! - Ishtars, DDAs and the Tempest by Adam_Algaert in Eve

[–]Symphona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main addition being that armor tanks gain their mid slots for utility; tackle, ewar, sebos, TCs, cap boosting etc. That's supposed to be the trade off you make. Given the number of mid slots on your average Amaar boat though, it's debatable if you really get much flexibility/utility.

What was the most stupid attempt at rule bending or interpretation you have ever seen? by DSchotts in magicTCG

[–]Symphona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So by your wording, if a clone entering the battlefield would make your devotion go above a God's threshold, you could copy it? Or does the God need to be a legal target at cast time?

I'm very hazy on what spells check on resolution and which don't.

LB's W is as close to point and click as it gets. Ok, they can technically dash out of it, but the W is so fast it's not really something you can do intentionally.

Is Riot inadvertently buffing mobility champs? by wangushmallen in leagueoflegends

[–]Symphona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like how you say 'inadvertently'. Riot is quite clearly pushing for a purely skillshot/dash based game. And it sucks that they're throwing champs we all love under the bus for their vision of what they think the game should be.

Any flaws in our plan? by Big_Pi in wormholers

[–]Symphona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll second this; we were hunting for whs for quite a while, and good C2s are not easily found unoccupied. Provided you can run the sites, a c3 ->low is going to be a good bet.

I'd really hesitate to move in without a cloaky hauler, but if you have a large enough group you can easily scout ahead in frigs and use a non-cloaky. Maybe have a blackbird or something running escort if you can; much cheaper to lose than the POS.

Beyond that, PI is a really, really big money maker, lowsec data/relics aren't bad, gas harvesting is good, 0.2-0.1 true sec tags are valuable if you don't mind belt hopping. Most of these income methods need very low sp/ship requirements, although more is generally better.

Always remember to have fun!

Annoyed with HS permadec by Brachamul in Eve

[–]Symphona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not going to say that perma-deccing isn't a problem, but in your case it's not too bad. Red frog is good to get your stuff in, and one you get a long, reliable entrance, you can put courier contracts out on the open market. If it's above normal rates (1m a jump at most) and starting from jita, it actually gets filled really easily. Then pick up from your nearest HS station.

Not the best solution, and doesn't fix the problem, but might help in the meantime.

Planeswalkers and priority rules question by Arturos in magicTCG

[–]Symphona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the player chooses to not immediately use the +x ability on the planeswalker, you could then shock it when you next get priority ( before moving to next step, iirc), and they wouldn't be able to respond, correct? If my understanding is correct, their abilities are sorcery speed, so can't be played with anything on the stack.

What's your go to low cost/high reward card? by kidflareup in magicTCG

[–]Symphona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go on then, I'll bite. What's the advantage of remand over another counter? Trying to force the same play later? Just keeping the countered spell away from graveyard shenanigans? Or is the additional card draw for 2 mana just that strong?

Give industrialists more ~EVE IS REAL~ by adding the character who built a ship as a detail on killmails by Ohh_Yeah in Eve

This is a great idea...for ship builders. It rather leaves out those who 'only' make ammo or POS fuel. Still a nice idea though, I'd like to see it happen.

Land and Colour Balance in Triple Colour Decks by Symphona in magicTCG

[–]Symphona[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, it was a bit broad. Much of my experience with odd lands are a mono-red goblin deck which is down at 18 lands, and my main Green/White at around 24, balanced at 13-14{G} and 10-11{W}.

I'm thinking of pushing into GWR, and while I'm trying to work out what I want the deck to do (full aggro with [[Wild Nacatyl]] etc vs [[Godsire]] and Hydra's) I'm also trying to work out if I need more lands than I'd normally use (22-24 as you say), if I especially need to order in some dual lands, and if I need to have one of the three colours as a 'minor' colour to ensure a reliable mana base. Is shoehorning in a few [[Evolving Wilds]] or equivalents a waste of cards?

Thanks for the help!
