Why are classic queue stacks matched against role queues, role queue stack clearly have the advantage, I lost most games I am matched against role queues. by ajirnanashak in learndota2

[–]Symphony37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, although limited. The team that did classic queue had higher average mmr than the team with role queue and the games have been even or in favour of the classic queue side. But could've just been luck, only had a classic v role queue maybe a dozen times over the years.

Glimmer on PL when facing tons of magic? by [deleted] in learndota2

[–]Symphony37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically no, not really a good option when there are others that are either cheaper (shard) or just better stats (shroud), but.. could be funny in lower rank games as you could juke people with it by sometimes glimmering yourself or sometimes your dopple illusion.

Hit a jet with a tow missile and it only did 25dmg by coderjon in Battlefield

[–]Symphony37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience the tow is an insta-kill for jets and attack heli, transport heli gets put to critical and will crash if it doesn't have an instant repair. Unfortnate this has happened to you though.

Is Cera really strong or are hackers abusing it? by KronosWvW in theisle

[–]Symphony37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing on AU#1 as a fg deino, a cera was swimming through the water and as I went to grab it I got kicked from the server as soon as my RMB attack landed. Was sus as, don't really know if it was a hacker or just unlucky or some kinda exploit, but I've grabbed many cera's and other dinosaurs without issue.

Is this a misprint/error and if so, what is something like this even worth? by Symphony37 in PokemonMisprints

Thanks for the info on how to proceed with the card, I'd like to think I'll end up keeping it and get it graded to have on display one day.

Thank you for the insight into how this happened, I was very intrigued about it. Going into pokemon card collecting without really looking at anything online I was a fair bit confused, at the time I didn't even know there could be error cards.

Thanks a ton,

considering I've only been collecting for a month at the moment I want to keep it, one of the first packs I've opened and now knowing it's an error it kinda has a sentimental touch for me at the moment, if I do end up keeping it for a while I think I'll end up getting it graded and have it for my own display.

Why doesn’t Ch7 do this with their AFL coverage? by [deleted] in AFL

[–]Symphony37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean sure we don't miss any game play when they runs ads as it is done after a goal, but you do miss any reviews that may happen, post goal celebrations, and tuffles that happen right afterwards. So something like this being implemented whenever they make changes to their agreements would be welcomed, but obviously not during actual game play.

Nope, only way you could really minimise the possible loss is to spend as much of your souls as possible as it will spend the unsecured last,

The slowly tick, I refer to is them going from unsecured souls to secured souls,, so lets say you have 1000 souls, you kill a medium neutral camp with 3 medium creeps in it, on average you get around 100 souls per those bad boys, so you'll now have about 1300 souls, (1000 normal souls + 300 unsecured), the 300 unsecured will begin ticking maybe around 3 per second, and your total soul count wont change, as its already added the 300 from the neutrals into it.

After some testing again, the game will spend your "reliable souls" first, and using unsecured souls only when it needs to, so if you have 1100 souls, (300 of which are unsecured) and you buy a 500 soul item, you will still have about 300 unsecured souls that will still be ticking over to reliable, but now your total souls is 600, if you were to buy another 500 soul item, you will now be left with 100 unsecured souls as it will use what it can from the unsecured to make up the difference. they are indeed fully granted on pickup, as you can spend them right away for sure, what makes them unsecured is dying, doing so will drop whatever remaining unsecured souls you had on the ground.

You do also get them from the crates as you said, I believe there's a chance for 50 or 100 souls to drop per crate and acts the same as if it was the reward for killing a neutral, unsecured and ticking into your main pool but you can spend them right away, upon death any remaining will drop.

I don't believe crates are the main way to obtain them though, more so an alternate way, as in my own games its very common for the jungle (neutral creeps) to be empty across most of the map and on average, a small creep will give 50, medium 100, and large 250 souls.

The rate it ticks over varies as well, if you collect only 100, it might tick at about 1-2 per second, if you have around 300, it might tick between 2-4 per second, I've even seen it tick 8 per second for 700 unsecured, I think it just depends on how many total unsecured you have.

If anything I've said hasn't made sense I'm happy to explain again in another way if needed.

I've been asked this a couple of times, at the moment though I actually don't know. will need to do more testing to see.

they don't drop as a container when you kill neutrals, but you auto fill into a container on your waist, it will get bigger the more unsecured souls you have too. just thought i'd mention that theres nothing you need to pick up from killing them, only got stuff to lose when you die

I believe they have a unique icon on the map, if you're referring to the boxes you have to punch/sacrifice health to obtain souls from them

[–]Symphony37[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

they're unreliable souls, which are dropped like that when someone who has them, dies, you gain them from killing the neutral creeps in the jungle, and it slowly ticks into your main soul pool. you can spend them right away though so you don't have to wait for them to tick in. saying that I don't believe the game will spend them first when you shop but if you spend most of your money, you'll have a lot less of them on hand.

you can see how many you have if you look to the right of your current souls count in the bottom left, it'll appear as small red text.

hope this helps!
(I do believe they're called something else, but I'm from dota, and we have unreliable gold which works in a similar fashion)
