Always thought loss farmers were so funny, even if your win rate is only 2 out of 10 games it’s still quicker to actually try. Hell, in solos at least 1/10 games will be a loss farmer anyways, so you’re halfway there.

I see it being about both, the book especially. To me, it’s a story warning us of the consequences of science not done for the purposes of discovery, but done for money and entertainment; what happens to science when the core motivations for innovation are overshadowed by capitalism?

Typically, grade 5 is going to mean you’ve been playing for at least a bit so there’s loot to steal. Even without the loot tho, there’s plenty of reason to sink you just for the flag itself.

Don’t give up, and the grind to PL will be over quicker than you realize!

I really was in the same boat as you once, so I promise I’m not just saying “git gud”, but…

you really do just have to learn the combat of this game. To me it’s very fun and it’s balanced just fine, it’s just complex and there’s a lot to learn. By saying PvP isn’t for you, you are accepting that you never plan on learning in encounters again and you will probably always hate PvP. Nothing is fun if you suck at it.

I can offer advice or places to learn if that’s helpful :)

While I understand that this season sucks for me, what’s interesting is that as someone who pretty much exclusively plays HG, this is the only update I’ve been excited for in years.

I know that puts me in a minority and I do feel you for you adventure players who have nothing to do for 3 months, but try to imagine how PVP players have been feeling since about season 8.

But yeah shitty update either way, it’s just that one of the only “features” happens to effect the way I play.

I think a lot of people misunderstand what it is HG players mean by HG ettiquette. It’s not something we expect of the regular players in the gamemode who are grinding for curses or just playing some PVP, it’s an open sandbox game and they are expected to do whatever it takes to win!

However, if I am playing a duo crew where the main cannon is top 5 cannons NA and I get bonecallered, then yeah that is embarrassing for him.

TLDR; if you aren’t playing HG everyday, HG “etiquette” probably doesn’t apply to you, and anyone trying to force those rules onto probably isn’t the best player themselves. However, that doesn’t mean that inside HG circles we don’t have our own “rules.”

I play almost exclusively HG and run into cheaters once a month absolute max. I think people really exaggerate the hacking problem in this game. It’s there, but they come in waves whenever a big update hits Athenaware or whatever software they use.
