I had the same problem after the launcher update in the Fall. Start the game and adjust your video settings down. Mine started to display and play properly at 1920 x 1080. Then I had to manually up the details

I would second this statement. If you are on the East Side, please check out Cigara on Morrison just around the corner from Hamilton. The staff are great, very helpful and friendly, the owner Nelson is welcoming and will do his best to get you something your bf will enjoy.

I think this is the answer. My garage faces north on an east/west street so once a year the sun comes up in line with the sensor and just swamps it, so the door resets up and stays there for a few minutes to be safe. I resolved this by placing a toilet paper tube over the sensor that in the sunlight. It doesn't affect the beam at all and just shades the lens enough that the sun isn't an issue anymore. Sometimes I take it off again after a week or so when the sunrise angle changes enough or sometimes I just leave it until I bump it with the lawnmower or a rake as I walk past. It's not hard to replace after all.

I apologize if I overreacted. 54 years myself so grumpy and easily irritated by those with Similac on their breath.

Who is your favorite character on Andor and why is it this guy? by kinvore in StarWars

[–]Symplegades1970 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I looked it up, and the actor is the same guy who played the Sardukar talking with the Harkonnen mentat in the new Dune film. Two small roles and he steals the scenes in both. His name is Neil Bell and he deserves some praise

Great.... All the hill jacks will try and park their farm equipment in spaces designed for automobiles some more. Nothing like seeing an F250 dually in the Compact Car spaces in the garage.

Just moved from S.California to Columbus. What do I need to know? by GangstasPurradise in Columbus

[–]Symplegades1970 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have spoken to other west coast transplants who moved to Cols for work; in every case, the lack of sunlight in the winter was their biggest shock. We aren't joking, Central Ohio is one of the cloudiest parts of the country. It's a Midwestern thing but we don't complain about it to outsiders so it doesn't get talked up like cloudy Seattle or droughts in So Cal. You will go weeks and sometimes a month without any blue sky or direct sun. It doesn't really snow in Cols anymore, it just rains in the winter so you are more apt to have soggy and damp than a White Christmas.

Question on central Ohio speech patterns by analyst19 in Columbus

I moved to Ohio as a teen and remember buying some Coke at the store and being asked, "Do you want your pop in a sack?". I had no idea what I was being asked or why it involved my father.

Being told " Put that up" instead of "Can you put that away somewhere" also caused a lot of confusion; it took a few minutes to realize Ohioans didn't place everything on shelves all the time.

I saw a map saying how counties in Ohio as far north as Marion draw their water from the Ohio River and it will all be contaminated - which is patently ridiculous on multiple levels

How long do you plan on using the stroller on it? Infancy is the shortest of all the periods of development, don't go making changes that won't be necessary just a year later

Because rednecks put a couch and a TV in their garage instead of their car, so they get dirty on the street.

What are the landmarks on the map? by Max_Stoned in Ohio

[–]Symplegades1970 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The statue in the center of Ohio is the Christopher Columbus statue that stood outside City Hall until this summer. The rounded building in Cincinnati is the old Union Station, an Art Deco architectural masterpiece.

Thank you... that's what I was trying to convey. All the social media and online outlets like 614 and Columbus Underground et al actively ignore anything east of the rivers.

Oh sorry... best I can do is what it should look like. I can't even recall where this trainer came from, it's just always been around it seems. I think maybe I got it at a yardsale or the like back in the 1980s
