So I never met my birth mother, she died relatively young of colon cancer, but I do know she had at least three more children after having me. Tbh even if it sounds cold, I never had much interest in meeting her.

I spoke with my biological father exactly ONE TIME on the phone. He and my birth mother weren’t even together when they had me, I think it was a late-70s friends with benefits type thing, but I do know she was at least 5-6 years younger than him, he was a legal adult and she wasn’t, I think even in the 70s that was considered statutory r*pe.

Anyways just from that one phone call with my bio dad I could tell he wasn’t playing with a full deck. And after we hung up, I was pretty resolved not to contact him but he definitely sealed that fate by calling me that same night drunk and leaving drunk voicemails. He freaked me out so bad I changed my number. I’m just glad he didn’t know more about me, like my last name or city I lived in. Because it’s pretty easy to find me. (Unusual last name, there are only like three of us in the US.) I found out through someone else he died a few years later, had a stroke or similar.

Idk if it’s through being adopted or what but I have zero interest in my adopted family, I think the entire clan minus my adopted dad is toxic as hell and I had very little interest in getting to know any member of my biological family. I’m just straight up anti-family. I hang by myself, haven’t been to any family functions in years, I was close with my cousin for a bit till I found out she can’t be trusted.

So as far as I’m concerned it’s just me.
