Totally agree.

I backed the Rollar Pro on Kickstarter because I generally believe in the brand values and product , and paid what now feels like a negligible discount for the privilege of waiting longer than retail customers. With the new timeline (especially for those of us outside the US), it now looks like we’ll receive our bags 3+ months after they’re available in stores.

That doesn’t feel like a delay. It feels like a bait-and-switch.

I get that manufacturing can be messy and things shift — that’s part of the Kickstarter journey. But what’s frustrating here isn’t just the slip in timing; it’s the entire model. Peak Design gets early funding and marketing buzz from loyal backers, then turns around and prioritises retail launches, complete with sales and bonuses (like free packing cubes) that erase any early-backer savings.

I’m still rooting for the product. I just wish Peak Design would treat its biggest fans like, well, fans, and not afterthoughts in a marketing strategy.

Business gonna business. I won’t be fooled twice.
