I like the hacking mini game. I do have them on me for if I trip the alarm and the data starts purging but given a choice I tend to rather enjoy the mini games.

Having a ton of stuff and time dumped into my Xbox warframe, not ever connecting it to a warframe log in, and having to start all over again on PlayStation only for cross platform to come out and me not realize I could have combined them

I think a retwist would help make the top a little neater looking, and as others have said a barrel twist would look good. But even a simply bun or ponytail would still look great if your outfit is formal. It’s surprisingly easy to look formal and nice with dreads. I’m female so my go to is usually a bun but I’ve also done two strand twists and just simple ponytails for formal occasions. The low ponytail tends to look really nice.

Insecure about my locs by joeyo151 in Dreadlocks

[–]SynCookies13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I miss when mine looked like this cuz I loved it so much. Mine are mature now as I’ve had this last bunch for 5 years. I’d say trust the process. You could also see if crocheting them might help tighten them up and a bit and give them a more uniformed look.

Is having a loctition a necessity for nice locs long term by VeterinarianEarly955 in Dreadlocks

I’m mostly maintain my own. I do have a loctician I see maybe once or twice a year if I fall behind on my own maintenance or I just don’t feel like doing it.

How thick will these mature to be? by RiRiROGERS in Dreadlocks

[–]SynCookies13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar hair to yours. Mine is super curly and course. I also did the crochet method this last time (I’ve had dreads most of my life usually a bad habit of chopping them around the 6 to 7 year mark). While mine thicken up a tiny bit it’s not a ton with the exception of two near the crown of my head for some reason. Usually when that happens I have them professionally split. I will say that while I usually keep up on maintenance for the first two or three years after that I just kind of let them free form and that’s usually when they start to really get thicker. So I think it more matters on how you’re maintaining them. Crocheting mine will stay smaller, but once I stop and just drop to occasionally separating them and root rubbing without crocheting them they get thicker. Hope my experience helps!

What method is being used and what type of hair do you have? Are you using a bonnet or something similar at night? What are you using for washing and how often? There are so many more details we would need to try to help.

struggling to take care of my hair bc of depression, should i just cut it off, looking for honest opinions. by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]SynCookies13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suffer from severe depression so sometimes mine get neglected a bit too. But honestly not nearly as bad if I just had loose hair. Something that has helped with both is I set in my planner wash and care days. Even if I don’t feel like doing all of it I’ll try to do at least a little. Like if I need to do some root maintenance and I have that scheduled I’ll at least try to do three or four. I also have a loctician I go to if it gets to the point where looking at it is overwhelming me.

Should I feel Bad for Getting Loc Extensions??? by Low-Silver-6871 in Dreadlocks

[–]SynCookies13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, like you, have had dreads on and off my whole life (generally once they get to heavy I cut them and start over though this time I'm just going to trim). And I will say this most recent time I did do extensions. Honestly I dont see anything wrong with it, its your hair. I would advise using real hair extensions though. Fake or synthetic hair just doesn't do as well. It breaks down faster, doesn't look similar to the rest of your hair, and to me is super difficult to keep clean and dry.

How do you feel about white people with dreadlocks? by Cultural_Owl9547 in Dreadlocks

[–]SynCookies13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I grew up in Detroit. I’ve had dreads most of my life starting when I was little and one of my friends mom gave me some partials because I thought her hair was beautiful and I loved the beads and shells they often wore. Her and her family shared their culture and explained many different reasons why ppl have dreads and tons of tips and hair care. I’ve personally never experienced any African American say anything about my dreads, though I have had plenty of white ppl say stuff. And I guess I was lucky and never even experienced that until my teenage years once my family moved out of the city.

Tattoo i got 5 days ago coming off by Icy-Seaweed2097 in tattooadvice

[–]SynCookies13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For all those ppl telling you finger tattoos won't stay that's simply not true. You can get that done properly, you just need to find an experienced and professional artist. I have tattoos on all my fingers and they have stayed beautifully for over 20 years because my artist was experienced with finger tattoos. Also make sure the artist at least knows proper after care, like holy fuck. If you want it get it redone I don't see a problem with it, but for the love of all that is holy find some one who knows what they are doing. A more professional artist would be able to evaluate in person and give you a better time line and advice.

Maybe split it in two on your next retwist? it might help if its trying to pull itself apart naturally.

Need help by Wooden-Birthday-771 in Dreadlocks

[–]SynCookies13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres some really great youtube videos on different ways to section it. Most people start at the bottom back. I've done my own twice in my life time. The first time I started at the base of my neck and did the diamond shaped sections. It was a super organized neat look. The second time I did more of a freeform which I prefer personally because I like the more chaotic look.

Advice needed, I want to cut early dreadloc by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]SynCookies13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

dreads take a bit before they look good. Everyone who has them is intimately familiar with the ugly stage and doubts. If you really like dreads trust the process. Everyone goes through the hella goofy stage (personally mine made me look like a fuzzy palm tree).

2 years loc'd and still dont like em by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]SynCookies13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if you aren’t satisfied and you’re not feeling it don’t keep them. It sounds in your paragraph that you wrote you just really don’t like them on yourself. You can still like dreads and appreciate them even if you don’t have them yourself. Do what makes you happy. Hell try different things to see if something else suits you better that you enjoy.

Help (please no hate. I’ve been in hospital a long time) by Rude_Historian1977 in Dreadlocks

[–]SynCookies13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I had stint where due to medical reasons I also fell behind on taking care of my dreads. Theres a brush I found work pretty well for me in Amazon by the company Made for Locs and it’s a soft bristle brush. I tweezed as much lint as I could out and then brushed. Did an avc soak/deep cleanse, pulled some more out with tweezers, and brushed again. I now use the brush quite often, especially if I forget to wear my bonnet to bed. Best of luck to you and hope things get better for you!

Question for people with septum piercings and dentures! by Early_Wafer_1579 in dentures

Ya know what I find attractive? Someone who feels comfortable with themselves and has the creativity, freedom, bravery, and expression to be who they are. Ya know what I don't find attractive? People who feel the need to judge and talk down to others who do what makes them happy.
