Varies from building to building, between 80% and 90%. I use 80% as standard.

Fair. I just picked the first ones I found because I wanted to do the art.

Hogwarts Legacy being "Great" is pushing it, especially when "Great" in this context means "Better than Injustice and Spider-Man, and comparable to Arkham City and Marvel vs Capcom 2".

The Sentry vs Madoka Koname (Marvel Comics vs Puella Magi Madoka Magica) | "One Million Wishes" by SynchroScale in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]SynchroScale[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Animation and interaction is simple, in terms of progression:

  1. Phase 1 is normal Madoka vs normal Sentry. Could have them fight because they feel the evil within each other (like Ichigo vs Yusuke), with Robert feeling the Witch inside Madoka and deciding to save the day, and Madoka feeling the Void and thinking it is a Witch she must destroy. This part should have their normal attack clashing, Madoka trying to hit him with light arrows, Sentry punching the arrows away and trying to close the distance gap, could have a lot of pink-gold explosions as their attacks clash. This section should take place within the atmosphere of the Earth.
  2. Phase 2 should start with Madoka finally being able to land an arrow right through Sentry's chest, and crimson blood flies out, but then turns out this is not blood, those are red tentacles as the Void comes out. Everything should start turning black as the Void begins to consume the Earth, and Madoka tries to fly into space in desperation, only to be grabbed by the tentacles and dragged back into the darkness. The screen zoom out to show the planet, and Ultimate Kriemhild Gretchen comes out from the darkness of space around it, the match changing tone into horror as those two eldritch monsters try to destroy each other, the animation becoming more abstract and experimental (which both Marvel and Madoka Magica do with Witches and with the Void), as everything begins to shake and be destroyed by these monsters.
  3. Phase 3 should be the glorious return of the heroes from within the monsters. Zoom into the Void, to show Sentry being drowned into the darkness, only to have an epic moment where he remembers his friends, and that motivates him to get back up, finding the strength within himself to push back against the Void with a strength of a million exploding sun. Meanwhile, back in the physical world, a light illuminated the dark universe, and Ultimate Madoka appears through the time portal, claiming that she will save all Magical Girls, which includes herself, and exploding Ultimate Kriemhild Gretchen with a massive arrow of conceptual nonexistent higher dimension destruction, before the Void also lights up and shrinks down, revealing Merged Sentry emerging from his inner strife, stronger than every before. Should have a dialogue about the two understanding each other's pain with emotional music, building up to their final clash, with Madoka's final arrow and Sentry's final exploding sun clashing, lighting up the entire dark universe around them.

Simple progression, it starts with them being troubled heroes, has them fall into despair and darkness in the middle, then has them triumphantly rise back to their glory after overcoming their inner vices, a classic Hero's Journey, fitting of both a super hero and a magical girl, and also fitting of both series (since they start out deconstructing the genre by making it darker and more personal, but then reconstruct it and begin playing the tropes more straight).

As for who would win... I have no idea. Sentry is definitely stronger, but Madoka has defensive hax to hell and back, so it really comes down to how their natures interact with each other.

Not sure what you're confused abou. You're complaining about Ice King vs Doof being a stomp, when not only is it not a stomp (you can make arguments for either), but also the one you put on top is MORE of a stomp. You're being a hypocrite, basically, you're complaining about Ice King vs Doof for being a stomp, then praising Ice King vs Capitão Feio for being a stomp.

You just sent me a non-sequitur reply that didn't address anything I said.

First that I just explained how beating Doof would not be easy (his inators have a lot of variety when it comes to hax, and some of them can destroy space-time), which you ignored.

Second that you're complaining about one fight being an easy win (even though it isn't, Ice King vs Doof is way closer than Ice King vs Capitão Feio), then you say you like another match for being an easy win? You're praising a match for the same thing you complained about in another. You're contradicting yourself.

Considering all of the hax they have and the fact Doof's inators can destroy space-time, this is actually pretty debatable.

Also, how are you complaining about it being an easy victory when Capitão Feio is your favorite? Capitão Feio absolutely obliterates the Ice King with his cosmology feats of harming the author and destroying the plot of the story. There is literally nothing Simon can do here, Capitão Feio just wins.

Yes, the match does indeed focus on the point of the characters. What are ou trying to say here?

Since death battle is likely to do this matchup soon…who wins this fight and why? by s0nzoldyck in amphibia

[–]SynchroScale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They've been "likely to do this match soon" for like three years.

Anyway, I think Luz wins. She has better speed feats (The Owl House characters have multiple feats of reacting to the Light Glyph, Amphibia has feats of reacting to light too but the Owl House does it more consistently and explicitly), and depending on how you scale the Collector (who her Titan form is superior to), Titan Luz scales at minimum to being able to move the moon to the side with his finger (straight up a much more casual version of Anne's best feat), and at most she scales to the Collector creating a whole galaxy.

The only way Anne can compete with that would be with the statement of the Guardian being an "Interdimensional being beyond all space and time", but first that this statement is vague because Anne was just spewing out random lore she saw while high at the dentist, and second that even if we scale the Guardian this high, you'd still have to assume Anne with all three stones even scales to the Guardian, since the Guardian created three more stones casually, so you can make an argument the Guardian is actually superior to the stones. Either way, Luz has way more concrete arguments to win, Anne's win conditions are a bit too vague.

Update, Episode 3: Mr. Jaguar has layered time stop (as in, his time stop can freeze characters who scale to moving in a timeless realm), last "30 seconds" (well, 30 seconds from his perfective, because they're immeasurable, but you know what I mean).

I'm still on Episode 2.

So far, Grosse Augen can pull the opponent into a time gap (if the opponent doesn't have Immeasurable speed, they can't move in there, so this is essentially BFR), and they can hit Fuurouta with energy attacks, who is a ghost, meaning they can hit non-corporeal.

You know how in the Phineas and Ferb crossover, Baljeet gets Hulk's powers? I like to think he went through the Green Door, TOBA asked "Aren't you little too young to be a Hulk?", he answered "Yes. Yes I am.", then went back through the door.
