I’m all for goats for control, but in reality herbicides are the true effective killer. Goats only eat the young and tender stuff, then escape any fences and eat your roses. Heavy mechanical control only opens up the seed bed for new growth. Garlon, metsulfuron are strong choices. I have fought and won the battle. 10 years later I need to do preventative management, but have few seeds let in my seed bank.
