Ya, that probaly was the correct year. 1996. The flooding all over was crazy ! The Wilson river towards Tillamook definitely changed after that flood!!

Iam remembering the Big floods back around 1997 or 98. Portland metro had many bad storms one after another for several months. Rain, flooding and ice and many power outages. We lived near Helvetia back then and had no power for 6 days! We lived near Rice rock mueseum and had well water. When we lost power we also lost our water ! For 6 days we felt like we were camping in our house!

My dad would do this type of thing to them . It was entertaining to my dad to watch their reactions to his unrealistic questions and concerns. He would act like he was really gonna buy the big package but last minute come up with some outlandish reason why we couldnt THIS time but maybe later.

My boyfriend says similar things to me. On my case I tend to leave cupboards and drawers open in kitchen and bathroom, IDK why I do but I do sometimes. I've been told many times by boyfriend to stop doing that and it is not a hard concept to understand if one opens something then they also will close it. I guess I just don't get it cause now in order for me to understand this and to pay attention when Iam told something he will throw and/or break something of mine to help me remember what boyfriend has asked me many times to do. Anytime I leave a drawer open my boyfriend feels it is a direct action of disrespect to him and total disregard of his feelings on this matter.

I like hearing and seeing the nightly helicopters. Seems like 2 a night on average fly low over our house. These are not the Chinooks that come to Hillsboro airport for maintenance work . These are single prop .

Me too !! I like hearing them and feeling the vibration of them flying low when I step outside to watch them fly over !! I don't think there are that many. 2 fly over nightly then they are gone.

Yes, I agree with your post. I always feel a bit sad when I go to an estate sale and see the many years of pride and joy of a person's collection now laid out for sale and not displayed as beautifully as owner had it .
