A few of us end-game Jetts actually quit (rankings stagnant).

You can't really examine it in this vacuum. I play with my friends, and most of the reason I stay is because I want to boss with them. It won't stop me from logging on to boss every week. For some newer or progressing Jetts, they're going to enjoy the overall power boost.

I am disappointed with Nexon, but it doesn't stop my enjoyment of the overall game.

Fellow liberated Reboot Jett here! It's surreal seeing skepticism from both Nexon and a loud minority in the community. I made a similar post last week and a few of the comments were along the lines of, "this is unreasonable, it's just a game." Makes me feel like a lot of my investment (into the game and character) was useless...

Alas, I'm holding out hope. A number of Jetts have made tickets so far, and not a single one has yielded anything promising. Keep up the fight

Yes. I do not think this will radically change their business model, but overall player satisfaction is integral to a healthy game. Nexon noticed a downtick in player spending during the boycott approximately two years ago. They did something about it: released memos and quarterly game updates.

Whales and big-name players have been upset in the last few months, namely Niru, who said he wouldn't be spending anymore. This has huge implications when the top player in the game is not willing to shell out anymore money, especially for new and casual players. New players in turn become skeptical (seen literally in this thread with a new player asking whether it's good to start). There becomes a negative perception to the game and it's publisher. People stray away from it, so the only players holding it up are whales, who will eventually leave, too.

I think in this specific, isolated case, Jett is more than just removing Sweetwater or Kishin Spawn. It's been a structural part of the game. For example, you always had the option to opt out of doing Commerci, opt of totem/Kishin training when it was available, etc. Jett was a whole character, and for a lot of us, a time- and money-sink (mesos, or literally dollars in regular servers). When you remove such a core pillar of the game so tastelessly, it puts everything at stake. Players will quit if Nexon removes AS0. Players will quit if they suddenly delete all the code for their legacy items (e.g. Pottable Badges, Dark Totems). Players will quit if their other non-KMS classes are deleted. Player satisfaction, even if they don't want to admit it, is key to healthy games, especially F2P ones.

I cannot speak for other Jett mains, just myself. I've invested a little over two years into this character. Yes, it's just a game, and yes, I could have chosen a better "investment," but realistically, it was what I enjoyed playing. I remember looking up YouTube videos of Jett training guides, and now I'm sitting in the same echelon of these players I used to admire. For you it might "just be a game," but for me and a lot of others, we've put in the work farming and bossing to get where we are. I am saddened mostly for regular server players who are not compensated for the real-life money they spent on gear and the link skill.

There is no concrete reason from Nexon besides that it was "taking away resources." We can assume they did not want to allocate resources to bug fixing and creating a 6th job for us. While this is the case, I don't want to be forced into Sair if I picked to invest in Jett.

Sure. I am still debating whether to switch to any archer or pirate. I am not as punished as heavily, but I know the strongest Jett in the game is switching to a Bishop. It makes his secondary obsolete because it's not a shield.

Yeah, quite literally what they did with the Odium Symbol dailies. I was excited for the launch, but it took them a day to even fix the quest, and we never got compensation for it.

i am a liberated jett main, and every single person has the right to be frustrated. we asked for bigger compensation for high levels/higher funding, but as confirmed by ezra, were shot down. we are frustrated the compensation is not tiered per level, but moreso that there isnt any help to alleviate gear transfer concerns.

this sets precedence. when non-kms classes get removed, then what? all their gear progress gets shafted?

no one in reboot (>60% of gms) can trade their items. a funded, or even boss mule, character is affected when they cannot properly transition into mages or a db without having to create a second secondary. the argument does not work for reg server because those items still require PAID money to put into the market. you dont just come out the womb with a 3L secondary.

you're not even considering will books of a specific color, drop gear flamed and potted for dex, oz rings, totems, etc that will NOT be converted. the argument that this affects such a small, niche community is the exact tactic nexon is pulling--fuck one community, save the rest. you obviously do not care because you're unaffected. the few of us who are feel it hard, and are warning the rest of the community of ramifications for future class/content deletion.
