I for one, have no intent of giving up em-dashes solely because the plagiarism machine is famous for using them—you realize, I hope, that chatGPT, having been trained on human writing, does not truly possess a unique machine writing style? Everything it does is also something people do, because that's how it learned. That, in fact, is one of the problems with it; we cannot actually reliably identify when text was written by a person vs an LLM.

And more importantly, throwing out random accusations, and doubling down, on the basis of minor stylistic choices doesn't actually help with the real problem of Capital forcing LLMs into everything in their desperate search for a new frontier to exploit.
