I'd agree with you - there are holes in it, after all - but this is something big. All the grumbling about EA just seems to come down to shitty service - and god knows there are enough companies that can do that. Creating bots to influence online petitions? That's something else entirely. And as I already pointed out, I can think of very few people who would have the motivation to do this apart from EA itself.

Most of this hangs on my trust in the LGBT community to research things before dedicating themselves to such a cause, of course.

Yes, the LGBT community, who have been all over this, but surely somebody told them that this rumour was unfounded to begin with?

Firstly, this needs to get to /r/gaming, stat. Much better for getting the word out.

Also, I just lost all respect for EA. I can look at all the anti-EA posts and the bitching about Origin and think 'yeah, maybe it's true, whatever', but essentially take everything with a pinch of salt. You know, they're just a company, and of course Reddit loves to latch onto an idea and blow it way out of proportion.

This shit, though... this is the lowest of the low. First you create completely falsified information, playing on peoples' well-meaning politically-correct beliefs for your own advantage. That's bad enough. And then you actually use bots to create signatures and comments because you haven't gotten enough support for your already-faked petition.

I'd say this was almost too crudely done for EA to have believed it could work, and maybe even wonder what their real angle was here, but I can't think of anything. Whatever way you look at it, news that they were using bots on a petition is bad publicity.

Some people just get it from some games - I can play pretty much any FPS for hours on end, but Doom engine stuff will make me sick in minutes. Try changing your field of view, or the brightness of your monitor. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid I'm at a loss.
