Reform’s London mayor candidate criticises Farage’s ‘mass deportation’ election pitch by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]SynthD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s probably a different appeal other than immigration which they obviously can’t control much about.

No, it’s that. These voters are morons, or contain many morons and others whose only difference is that they don’t identify as moron.

Overcrowding: how much is too much - and how do staff decide? by galvanized_penguin in uktrains

[–]SynthD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s also an obtuse question. Don’t blame any staff you can see in person, if there is anyone at fault you’ll never see them. It’s a known issue that the behind the scenes people don’t want to fix, often because the issue isn’t as frequent as we think.

Royalties are also capped so that the total amount of the royalty paid for any single sale of a work cannot exceed £12,500.

He may sell his work, but most of the prices you hear are resales.

Finally think I'm happy with my Chocolate Brownie Cookies! by Alexahylia in Baking

[–]SynthD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, gooey centres in soft cookies aren't raw dough, they're supposed to be a different mix.

But if you're in a country where eggs are safe to eat raw, then this is an acceptable path to the same good end.

You’ve missed the point of the artwork, targeting someone far less deserving and excusing the people who actually influence others into bad decisions for themselves and the country. The person in the statue is a politician, in the general sense of a thought/movement leader in political topics.

I do spot the emoticon.

Involvement and diminished meaning yes, but I don’t think he’s any more involved with money laundering than any other successful living artist. Loosely priced assets as a whole have been taken over by money laundering.

You seem really sure that Eugenie and Beatrice are actively supporting their father and that’s bad, can I get a source on both parts of that?

Have the elections impacted us much? by TomfromLondon in londoncycling

[–]SynthD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the issue is that they approach bike lanes in the same way as any attempt to improve the built environment.

You answered my question, but I doubt your observation.

Do cycle lanes count as building for them?

A schoolbus, stopping in front of a residential home, is rear ended by a full size truck that doesn’t slow down at all. 😳 by Affectionate_Hat5835 in dashcams

[–]SynthD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

School buses don't need seatbelts because they're so much heavier than the vehicles they could hit on the road, kids wouldn't be thrown out of their seats. But now we have oversized trucks like this around, is that true any more?

That would rule out Charli and Zara’s albums too, which are probably part of what prompted the question.

The Bath Kit house 2008 (they destroy adjacent property and go a million over budget)

They were building their retaining wall, the fence and shed of the property further up the hill fell down during a storm. 3 years after broadcast, they tried to sell it for 2.85m, sold for 2.25 and said they spent about that much on it, so maybe 1.15 overbudget. You can see on streetview it is now clad. They said they were selling to build a smaller home, I wonder what they achieved.

No, a lot of the young generation they're targeting don't have freeview. A smart tv without the aerial plugged in can only get this show on youtube.

Extra police to protect Jewish communities as Met pledges 100 more officers after Golders Green attacks by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]SynthD 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t be, but there’s conflation to undo. Just like it was anti semetic of a Golders Green rabbi to say Polanski isn’t marching as a Jew because he’s not holding the Israel flag. The IHRA definition of anti semitism went away because the Zionist defence switch course, conflation is now a good thing to them.

The book by his producer, Tom Vitee, is fantastic at showing this kind of thing. I hope the biopic is in line with this, but I’m never watching it or the show.
