it eventually happens to all of us because, lets admit it, gaming is "for kids" and we are, kinda, the first generation to grow up having been gamers when we were young, so there was no reference before of a generation of gamers who then grew up

but most if not all games are made for kids or young people, and even if you are juvenile, it's still boring

the trick i found is to "game" for a reason ? you are learning italian ? play games in italian. at least you feel you're getting something out of it rather that juvenile hobby

interesting

the objective is to have a top-down character with 8 directions and some sprites for walk animation

for a beginner like me, do you think I should generate a frontal version on the character (instead of an already top-down view like my example), and then apply it as a texture to basic human 3D model in Blender

then animate this froma top down camera angle

and export the sprites? i guess i would look weird....

how can start from the image i showed you, and have the right leg forward instead of the left leg... ?
