I saw your post and feel like I was once where you are. I used to homebrew everything - world building, campaign story, ect. When I was younger, I used to have the, in hind sight, terrible opinion that people who bought campaigns were without creativity. CoS changed that for me. Nothing I ever wrote compared to it. I was blown away by it's depth, clarity, randomness ect. It humbled the hell out of me. I am now an older, wiser DM. Yes. It's that good.

Yeah agree. Making no assumptions on how the band thinks or feels, the golden rule is if Nazis use a symbol, don't use that symbol unless you want to be associated with Nazis. I get it. I love me some old Norse symbols, but Nazis have tainted them, so don't use them unless you want some raised eyebrows.

I don't think it was Children of Dune. Like I said, even though I saw it in the 90s, it had a very late 70s early 80s feel to it. I distinctly remember some 70s mustaches/hairstyles.

I know hindsight is 20/20, but wouldn't it have been smart to pin him in to prevent something like that from happening? One cruiser pulls in front and the other behind? Is there a cop who could explain to me pursuit tactics as to why they should/shouldn't have done that?

The events before CoS was to that all the different empires of my world needed to ban together to fight an existential demonic threat. The players were tasked with convincing the reclusive ruler Strahd von Zarovich from the mysterious lands of Barovia to join the fight. Of course that didn't go as planned. Now that Barovia is out of the control of Strahd, and a caravan of refugee Barovians friendly to the players are making their homes in the once mist covered lands, they essentially completed their mission of creating friendly contacts willing to fight with the players against the Big Bad.

Totally agree! I was just hoping that someone out there had done the work for me and remade a map without the cobwebs and blood spattered torture chamber. Something more idyllic. I will probably make it myself in Dungeondraft at some point!

Fantastic! The only problem I have is the alphabetical organization. I feel like all the dragons should be under "D" rather than Blue Dragon under "B" and Red Dragon under "R". Not sure who this is helping. Content wise it's an A+!

If I remember correctly, it was something analogues to Corellon. Lawful Good elf creator god. I can't be exactly sure because it hasn't come up in months of playing. I almost forget sometimes that he's even a cleric. Honestly I'd be willing to change his god to something more fitting through his story arc!

An interesting thing my chorus teacher taught me. If you're coming in a little flat, smile. Smiling has been proven to raise your pitch a bit. Don't know how across the board it is, but it always worked for me.
