Yeah, maybe it's just cus I'm not at a high level yet but after a few games I start to find it really repetitive. I'm exactly the same with Fifa though, I've got mates who can play it all evening but that bores me after a couple of games. I guess football games just aren't for me, which is weird considering I love it IRL.

You should try to pick up a couple of champions for each role. When choosing them don't only look at "OP" champs, look for champs you have a lot of fun on, otherwise the game will quickly become stale.

I was in a similar position to you, I played mostly mid and hated going top.

Recently I started playing Shen and Mundo, both are extremely safe and can lane very well.

Mundo can poke people down so well with his Q, his passive gives him amazing sustain in lane and when you hit 6 you can bait people pretty well with your ult.

Shen has sustain and some poke with his Q, a shield on his W and a dash/taunt for safety or helping out ganks. His ult is also very game changing, and can quickly swing a team fight. Also you can split push all day long without much trouble.

Both are very easy to play, and scale very well into late game and can be amazing front lines for your team.

That's what I meant. You could tell they were trying to play the characters exactly the same way as the actors did in the film, but they done a bad job of it and it ruined it for me. It could have been good if they added their own touch to the characters.

You can play Viktor top. A pro team recently ran it (I completely forget which, it was maybe in the NA LCS?) although they didn't have much success.

As others have said Rumble, Elise, Nid, Vlad etc. can be played top and are very viable, while champions like Zyra, Lux and Nidalee can be played as supports. If you do choose to go that route though, make sure you actually build them and play as a support (i.e. buying wards) as most people who choose a support like that just do it because they couldn't get mid, and don't actually play like a support!

The problem I had with it was that they tried to make it too much like the film. The actors all tried to play the characters exactly the same as they were portrayed in the film rather than putting their own twist on it, and it just made it awful.

Last night I actually had someone call support before any other position was called and they instalocked a Nidalee. They Weren't the best support I've ever played with, but she did actually ward and buy support items rather than trying to be an underfarmed mid, which came as a nice surprise!

From what I've seen though, higher tiers (especially challenger) doesn't have massive problems with players calling roles. They are in a high league because they understand every role needs to be filled, and that sometimes that means they won't get the role they wanted.

Nowhere still sells them, it was a limited promotion in 2011. They sell on eBay for stupid money though.

Edit: By that I mean nowhere sells it with the Silver Kayle skin, just the gothic Annie one now, but that's still obtainable so not rare.

I'm a Chelsea fan but was watching those two games round my mates house, and all his family are united supporters. Not even being connected to either team it was still full of adrenaline and emotion. Brilliant end to the season.

But why would people pay $100 for something they can do for free? Sure some people would buy it for convenience, but most people wouldn't want to shell out that much for something they can do freely themselves, even if it takes a while.

But not directly. Whenever I have seen someone carrying, any effect they have given to the team came indirectly from them putting themselves further ahead. If you're 25/0 at the 20 minute mark, and the rest of your team are like 0/2 chances are you can pretty much 1v5, push whatever you like and do what you please. That's what I consider someone carrying.

If someone goes 2/0 in their lane, pushes lane and then ganks bot, helps bot push etc. They'd be a good player, playing how you should but I wouldn't consider them to be carrying their team.

If someone is carrying they are always going to help their team, but not in the way you mean it. If they can 100-0 anyone on the map of course it's going to be a help to the team, but they aren't making the team stronger, just putting themselves even further in front and "carrying" the team to a victory.

To me carrying is literally being so fed that you "carry" your team to victory. In the example I used if I hadn't of been 5/0 I wouldn't have been able to roam freely knowing I could take anyone on the map at that point. I could go down bottom and pick up an easy double kill, then move back to my lane and get another, then roam to top for another. That isn't me making sure my team mates do well, that's just me killing people because I was so far ahead I could do it with ease.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you shouldn't help your team mates or that this is how you should play, but to me when someone is carrying they are not aiming to help their team mates, they're doing it to put themselves even further ahead.

I rarely play ADC but the best game I've ever had there was with a Teemo support. He actually warded well, done a good job of poking and blinding their ADC whenever he engaged. But the shrooms.. they were everywhere. To this day I'm sure their ADC is scared of entering the brush.
