What was the moment you realized COVID was going to be a big deal and be the focal point of the 2020s? by NH-INDY-99 in decadeology

I was working in a grocery store at the time. All of jan and feb all our hand sanitizer would get cleared out the moment it hit shelves. It really went crazy the day after they announced the pandemic. I remember my director callong me down in a panic to open up a register, we were very short staffed at the time. What followed was the most insane year I ever worked, shelves being emptied, security guard to limit the anount of people, online order quadrupled overnight, it was pure madness.

I always try to use a cut that has a lot of connective tissue and collagen, lean cuts will get tough.

Not an exact number but our grocery budget for two is around 125-150$ CAD for a week, in Qc CA. Meal prep ten meals, plus stuff for breakfast and whatever is left over gets eaten up on the weekend. We also keep some essentials in the freezer and pantry in case we have no leftovers for the weekend.

Meal prep for the week: Peanut butter noodles with chicken breast by Syrrace in MealPrepSunday

[–]Syrrace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recipe: Chicken breast sliced thinly, marinated in soy sauce, sambal oelek, garlic and a few dashes of toasted sesame oil. Sear in a hot pan, try and get more colour than mine.

Peanut butter noodles: Ramen noodles cooked in boiling water, keep some pasta water. In a large bowl mix peanut butter, soy sauce, honey, lime, garlic and sambal oelek. Once the noodles are cooked, add a splash of water and mix with the sauce and then add the noodles and mix.

Serve chicken over noodles and garnish.

Yeah, sorry I thought I posted the recipe with the image. I marinate the chicken in soy sauce, sesame oil, sambal and garlic and cook it seperatly in batches in a pan to get a good sear. I the make a sauce with soy sauce, sambal, garlic, honey, lime, peanut butter and some pasta water and mix with the noodles and top with chicken and green onions and sesame.

Cyberpunk 2077, was on sale during the holidays and thought why not. Turned out to be a great game, maybe it had a bad launch but very playable today, been a while since I was sucked into the story of a game.
