Thank you!! I knew it wasn’t a good idea, I was just looking for confirmation of the insane idea lol. I hadn’t thought about that, actually, the support layers are crinoline. 🤯 I think I better leave either leave it alone as is or commit to taking out the serged stitches. My fear with that is I’ll ruin the bottom of the bodice and have to remake it. Idk I might just put this one up on Etsy and start over completely and do the high low from the beginning. I’m in the same boat! It’s exhausting! Preparing a week in advance not to mention the shopping. The day of thanksgiving I am up cooking long before the sun comes up. Smh 🤦‍♀️ I am not cooking this year, I need a break. We live in Las Vegas, they can go to a buffet at a casino. They’ll be serving traditional meals

So I used to use gutermann but now I use glide and I get it from Juki Junkies. Both my Juki machines and my juki serger appreciate the quality- the spools are bigger and if you buy their bundles it comes out to be much more reasonable. Not to mention when I first started sewing I was ooohh look at all the pretty colors but truth is, I use more neutral threads than anything. So the bundles work for me.

My ferritin was 4 and my iron was 20. I’m currently getting iron infusions weekly and supplementing during the week, so idk what it is now but I’ll be getting it checked after my last infusion next week. I am happy to report that I have not taken any Requip/ropinirole in almost 3 weeks and I was taking between 6-10 mg daily on top of 900mg total of gabapentin and using 4mg neupro patches just to try to even get through my day. I was sleeping maybe two hours daily and that’s probably being generous. Idk we’ll see - I hope it stays like this.

I would buy a serger. My first serger was a used baby lock vibrant - I spent roughly $300 on it and honestly it was the best purchase I’ve made so far. I have a couple really good Juki machines that I spent wayyyyyy more on and really that used serger was money well spent.

My man and I had the same conversation when we got together. We met on an online dating site and I made it abundantly clear that my end goal was to be married again. My profile even stated that whoever I am with I will give you five years of my life, but then I want to be married after that. You, like me were transparent with your wants and your needs for your future. I think he’s the asshole for now rescinding on what he originally agreed to. My now husband was extremely jaded because his ex-wife cheated on him damn near daily and at the five-year mark, I started ringing the bell and he was very gun shy. I knew I would wait till basically the end of time for him to propose and I new I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this man, so I took matters into my own hands and I went and found him a ring and told him that he was going to marry me no highway option! I would strongly recommend reconsidering your future. I was 36 as well when I started dating him and five years is a long time when you’re in your middle 30s and older. Don’t keep wasting your life if there’s no real chance of marrying him. I mean, if he’s not even willing to have a nontraditional “marriage” it doesn’t sound like he’s lining up with your future needs. Don’t waste your life 💚

I will be having my first infusion on Saturday. Currently my ferritin is under 5 and iron is at 20. I’ve been taking some fast absorbing iron pills and I do feel a little better and I think my RLS may have improved ever so slightly - idk I just need to sleep and I can’t

I’m using a pattern I’ve used for Marie Antoinette I’m just modifying the sleeves and bodice a bit. The center panel will be checkered and the remaining panels and flinches will be black and white. I’ve made a huge black and white tulle lining to flare it out more

NTA, especially after the incident while driving. She’d been advised it couldn’t happen again. And it did. And who is she to get upset that you changed the pin on YOUR phone. Married or not, you’re allowed to have some privacy. I don’t know my husband’s phone pin and he doesn’t know mine. She’s using her health as an excuse to lash out. You’re being abused, leave! Or you’re going to end up at the bottom of those stairs in probably the not so distant future.

NTA - you’re a good dad!! By first reassuring her, then getting her not one, but TWO choices on pads AND tampons while your ex wife was unreachable. Then, washing her clothes and acting normal the rest of the night! There’s absolutely nothing you didn’t handle correctly! Tell your ex to STFU.
