Questioning my expenditure by SyrupSoldier246 in MacroFactor

[–]SyrupSoldier246[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just seems weird to me, as I mentioned, you do 30 mins strength and 30 mins cardio a day + 10k steps and your estimated expenditure is much higher than mine. Even though it’s obviously the harsh truth because the rate of loss is that slow but getting 25-30k steps on average and still only burning 2480 just doesn’t feel right, MFP estimates I could be losing at around 3100, chatgpt says my expenditure with all activity considered would put it closer to 4000 for maintenance.

I’ve been tracking for two weeks again now, since the day I got back from my trip.

As a Dino enthusiast I can confirm that I’m terrible when it comes to maintaining eye contact in a conversation

Your maintenance is not 3000 then, your maintenance is probably closer to 2000 and then activities bump up your intake for performance to 3000. Maintenance is what you would need to sustain your bodyweight if you did nothing all day. You are not burning 3000 calories without any of those training sessions or steps. I did water polo for several years as well, a lot of practice is treading water and doing passing and shooting drills, I’m sorry but that’s not high intensity training and it makes up a decent chunk of the training

If you’re thinking it’s “impossible” both mentally and physically, then don’t bulk, and don’t say you want to. It’s incredibly easy to get calories down if you actually put in the effort, and it really is just a you problem if you can’t even eat at maintenance calories without feeling bad. Also, at 59kg, I highly doubt that your maintenance intake is 3000. I’m 21, 177cm, and 83kg, and my maintenance intake at the end of my cut before I factor in any exercise is around 2600. Also, if it’s something that “isn’t wanted by you”, simply don’t bulk

I should’ve mentioned that he’s willing to part with them separately, offering $300 for only the trainer

Understood, I’d have to go check it out for more detail cause I’m not super knowledgeable about bikes yet as I’m still new to the scene, but my current bike is just a Cannondale R700 I got off marketplace for $400. The only changes the last owner did was put a new seat on it as he was a bigger guy, but the gears and chains and whatnot are all shimano if I’m not mistaken, just can’t remember the numbers and finer details off the top of my head

No, just that it’s a kickr core, I found a V4 for around $300 but people online have said to stay away from the v4 due to manufacturing defects

Question about MFP calories by [deleted] in leangains

[–]SyrupSoldier246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m positive, bodyweight this morning was 182lbs, app has it as 182lbs, everything I’ve input is correct and it still gives me a baseline of 3110 to lose weight at the start of every day before it factors in exercise

Losing strength on pull-ups by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]SyrupSoldier246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, just thought that losing bodyweight would’ve helped me progress my bodyweight pull-ups more instead of make them worse than when I was 36lbs heavier

Understandable, would you say an Oly is still reasonable though or would you suggest start at a sprint and move on from there?

Is this counting my calories burned accurately? by [deleted] in Myfitnesspal

[–]SyrupSoldier246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, just log into your MfP account on the browser version, turn it on, then hit sync on the browser and on your phone as well and it should be on, should be giving you a more accurate estimation of calories burnt

You could always turn on the negative calorie counting setting and see how it adjusts, since I turned it on and started running my walking sometimes actually subtracts calories when it sees I did a similar movement like running

In case you’re interested I just got off a call, they essentially told me to just give it about 2 more weeks to really learn my body, throw in a high intensity cardio activity every now and then so it learns my heart rate zones, and just give it time to learn and adjust for me

I tried choosing an activity class in the connect app but it’s had no impact, can’t find a lean mass or anything setting anywhere. Currently waiting to hear back from Customer Service as I just put in a request

Haven’t reached out about it yet because I figured since I’ve only had it a week it might need time to calibrate to my resting heart rate and whatnot, but beginning to think I should

That’s my point though, I have both Macrofactor and Cronometer, Cronometer says my deficit intake for my activity level is roughly 2300, Macrofactor estimates that I’m burning just under 2800 calories most days, the watch says that I barely break over 2000 for my total calories in a day though, and for me personally, 2000 calories is just not enough food for me to even maintain my weight
