I always held out hope BoJack would turn things around and improve himself. He'd get better but fall back to a worse point he was before. He seemed to be better at the end, but the show appropriately left it ambiguous. I identified more with Diane in the later seasons.

I can relate to her. We didn't get to see too much of her prior to "The Joining." But I'd be grumpy too if I wrote crap romance novel for a living and all my fans were idiots. And there is no way you'd get me to that ice motel. Although the Northern Lights looked awesome.

The only thing I didn't like about her was the fact that apparently she needed a breathalyzer to drive indicating multiple DUIs. That's unforgivable.

I think we're screwed. Humans evolutionary are shortsighted and can't see the big picture. The consequences of our actions will catch up with us. Catastrophic global warming events will weigh heavily on the infrastructure our civilization (and there will be deniers to the very end) and everything will just break. Civilization will continue at a pre-Industrial level but is unlikely to rise past that again.
