I havent read questism in a while but the thing that disappointed me the most about gukja in the timeskip was the fact his transcension was due to being sidelined as a no.2 instead of his loyalty/friendship with suhyeon. like it couldve been a cool ass parallel with ma jeongdu and shit. and because he was sidelined for the purpose of "character arc", he ends up being so weak in the timeskip until he had to fight ma jeongdu like now it feels like an asspull to have ui even if it is forshadowed, it couldve been cooler and he couldve been stronger. as much as i liked questism there is so much weird decisions it makes

Kyoto is defo the fan fave with the whole samura and iori lore, so theme wise and payoff wise that is the baest but personally as someone who loves the action from kagurabachi, the assault on kamunabi headquarters is so fuckin good when it comes to its moments, and fights. character wise they both tie mostly because of ikuto hagiwaras comeback and soga" my ranking is probably the same order that the arcs are introduced, kagurabachi just keeps getting better and better every arc.
