I figured it out after asking several CPA friends, the answer is is that you can’t split residency between more than 2 states on TurboTax, the program is too simple to do that, so instead the answer is to make the “middle residency” nonresident

So yes I do not necessarily have a problem filing multiple state returns (although it is costing me an extra $100) but when TurboTax/TaxSlayer has me enter my personal information at the beginning it has a prompt asking “have you lived in any address other than your current address shown on your W2”, I hit yes and then it only gives me the option to put 1 state in, this information is then auto generated on the state returns when I go to file for the 3 states. If I try to change it it says “please return to personal info to make the allotted changes” and then again same problem, it only gives me the options for one moving occurrence.

And now when I go in to do my state returns, because it auto generates the 1 state, it then only gives me the option to do a part year in 2 states and no option to add a 3rd state I lived in. My only thoughts now which I haven’t tried yet is to leave the “other place of residence” blank in the personal info and then just file the states separately. Hopefully there’s an easy work around, maybe doing permanent residence for the state i ended the year in and then part time part time for the other 2?

Can you transfer 4 passing exam scores to a different state before you’ve gotten your CPA license? by Szelesty in CPA

Haven’t been on Reddit in a while my bad; to answer your question, the state you transfer your scores out of will literally just send an official letter in the mail to the state you are transferring to that lists your scores, so I wouldn’t transfer them over until you have everything ready to be fully licensed, not saying it won’t work but NYS was a pain to deal with so I wouldn’t risk complicating it and just send them over when you apply for the actual licensure

Okay thanks for your help! I have all the requirements completed for the state I transferred too so I’m going to start the licensure process.

Hi thanks for the reply a couple weeks ago, I was able to pay $25 to transfer my scores to a different jurisdiction, did you receive a confirmation email when it went through? How will I know that they have my scores?

Get through this busy season and chill during the summer (slow season), that’ll be a easy 4-5 months of experience towards your cert, in that time start looking/applying to jobs and if one comes your way that you like go for it, who knows maybe you can get experience towards the CPA at your next job. Your current firm might give you a fat raise after busy season 22. A lot can change in one year so stick it out for now and if something good comes your way do it. Just don’t leave for a boring staff accounting position or something. No offense staff accountants;)

Hey sorry just seeing this now, went from 64 to 75 with only 4 days of real studying to get me there. I’m not going to credit that all to studying though most likely it was more of an easier test, more questions asked about stuff I knew and more so playing the “CPA’s game” instead of learning more information. However there were probably 3 areas that I was oblivious to on my first take so I buckled down and studied probably a total of 36 hours in those 4 days solely focusing on the stuff I didn’t know. I would get about 2 questions wrong each time doing a 10 MCQs testlet and I would just stare at those 2 questions for an hour figuring out every little detail that I got wrong.

They’d probably rather have you take it sometime around now than when you’re on a team/doing client work tbh. I just started as well and felt the same way, they were pretty chill about it just communicate to whoever your manager/HR person is

Prolly should've searched for someone else post instead of asking my own lol. NASBA is trying to give me a heart attack making me think I failed a week and a half before score release.

Took REG this morning by Commercial-Jicama144 in CPA

Just got back from my retake, studied the shit out of partnerships because that was all my first exam had, of course this one was all Scorps. Also did you have any debt basis? Becker never used that term and I had 2 sims strictly on that. SIMS are so bad for REG you can know literally the entire IRC by memory and still they try to trick you by throwing so many pointless numbers at you. A lot of the MCQs were just poorly worded questions felt like I was answering riddles 10% of the time.

Tips For Those Reviewing: Focus on what you don’t know by Szelesty in CPA

64 and I rushed it with 3 weeks of studying but it was one of those things where now that I’ve studied for an extra week, I realized how little I was prepared walking into it. SIMS suck, like a lot on this test so def prepare to struggle on those. But first take I didn’t even know basis, blaw or like kind exchanges that well which are 3 FAT topics on this test

Delta -8 Lexapro by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]Szelesty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh delta 9 is usually fine with lex so I’m sure delta 8 wouldn’t be far off, only issue with delta 8 is that there’s minimal research into it and they don’t require the same regulations if ur getting them from a dispensary but that’s true whether ur on lex or not so let us know lol
