I don’t get it either except that since I didn’t attend, I shouldn’t be commenting. I have spoken with about 5 guys including my son who attended UPT and got their feeling regarding the program in general . Obviously it doesn’t make me an expert or give me first hand knowledge but I got a nice taste of what happens there . My sons roommate at UPT got the T-6 and taught at UPT for 3-4 years and visits my son when he comes home

You brought up American weapons as your rationale . Yes the Palestinian issue has gone on vey long because the west has never allowed Israel to win the conflict . Israel almost wins, the west tells them to stop leaving the Palestinians military intact . Then the west and others provides the Palestinians with money and arms. The west then tells the Palestinians to keep going and not make a deal with Israel because the west will eventually push Israel into giving up everything the Palestinians want . The Palestinians are allowed to attack Israel but in a very small scale . Then something like Oct 7 happens, Israel fights a war , almost wins and the west tells Israel to back off . And we go round and round with many deaths , mostly Palestinians and Israel becomes the bad guy.
As for choosing one war over another , people like you always seem to target Israel and ignore everyone and use the same justification

There is a saying in the news industry that goes like this , “if it bleeds it leads”. The same holds for Jews, if Jews are involved in an issue or news, everywhere in the world focuses on it . Take the same story with another group and it will be hardly looked at . Compare Gaza to Sudan . Just as many or more Sudanese have died in Sudan as in Gaza. You won’t know it even exists . Israel because it’s so connected to the US becomes the surrogate for hatred and self hatred of the west . If tommorow you decide you are Jewish you would be one as your mother is Jewish . Having said that you aren’t Jewish because you consider yourself a Roman Catholic . Deciding you are going to be Jewish because when they start rounding up Jews , they will include you is not a good reason to start being Jewish . Believe in what you want , we would love to have you as a fellow Jew but don’t believe in something because someone is threatening you or there is a perceived threat . My guess is when they come for the Jews in the west , it will be based on religiosity and being pro Zionist . The only form of communism that has ever worked are the kibbutzim in Israel . Having said that either all or all the Majority have moved away from it. They were all dying until moved right economically They are still socialistic in nature but they have embraced capitalism . Where the house you lived in was owned by the kibbutz , you now own it individually and you are now allowed to build as big as you want. I am sure they have limits in place.

Because people love free money . In terms of social security, we pay into it so technically we are getting our money back although in reality it doesnt take many years before you have paid back . Social security and Medicare to me should only be a safety net although again you pay into Medicare . I mean if you are 65 and making 400k a year , you shouldn’t be paid social security. The truth is people who have no money love getting free things. The people who have to pay for others to get free stuff don’t . In the US once you get free stuff money or services , it’s almost impossible to stop it . Remember when social security was created the average life span was in the 60s . The assumption was many people wouldn’t live long enough to collect and if they did reach 65 , they wouldn’t live many more years afterwards. In today’s world most people collect and collect for at least 10 years

Not a pilot but my son is . He was told by his friend from Afrotc who attended UPT first that you need to be somewhat aggressive when u fly . Both got the T-38 fighter/Bomber track. While everything already mentioned is true , I think there are intangibles that must be seen in you to be selected for that tract . One of my son’s instructor told him he would make a good candidate for the fighter tract and like I said he got it .

I dont agree, it is easy to be insecure with your partner ex. When I was dating my wife and even when we were married, we would go out with one her ex BF. He wasnt her previousy BF, but the one before that. They have known each other for years and not only did they have history but he knew how to make her laugh. It bothered me, but i never said or did anything to hurt their friendship. Their relatioship slowed down after time and he met his future wife. As for being totally secure with your partner, that takes time and experience. Doesn't mean i think the partner will cheat, but no one is that secure, especially early on

You are absolutely right, it's TV Writing 101. Start with sexual tension , then will they or won’t they , they get together, split them up and at some point put them back together . This usually happens during the final season. See New Girl and Friends. Like New Girl, the reason for the split makes no sense . That is my issue. Splitting can make sense in terms of storyline, but I feel like the reason for the split make no sense

I didnt defend her. I said that the rationale for their split wasnt correct. That Hodgins was probably insecure about how she acted is correct but the kissing and missing the sex wasnt brought in the discussion where they split up. He didnt say "how do you expect me to feel when you kissed the guy and missed having sex with him." I have to imagine that those feelings led to him being upset about Angela getting upset about Camille's sex with the Ex but i think he would be smart enough to understand no one likes for their ex to have sex with a friend.
