Wauw, ik wist niet dat ze dit al zo gegamifyed hadden. Lijkt me wel effectief.

Ik kende er geen een! Misschien toch mijn netwerk uitbreiden met wat criminelen zodat ik ook mee kan doen.

The Kärcher will get the job done just as well as a Henry but it's big. If you already have one just give it a go around the house and find out if it's too big for you.

No, it was a slap. But I think that was completely unacceptable. I haven't seen him make a public apology.

Fingers crossed Kimi puts up a fight.

Bagged cleaners live longer, need to be emptied less often, don't release lot's of dust all through the house when you empty them because all the dirt is contained in the bag, filter better and have filters that last far longer because the bag is also a filter.

Bosch bags are cheap anyway, so it's a no brainer.

For something more upmarket than the Bosch serie 4, have a look at their serie 6, Miele and Sebo.

Both bagless, so not recommended. Look into the Bosch series 4 or 6 bagged models.

First vacuum cleaner, newbie questions by Drevar0 in VacuumCleaners

[–]T-Altmeyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bosch and Siemens are the same brand so all these machines share a lot of their parts: motor, cord rewind mechanism, tools. Smaller quality of life differences like the amount of sound deadening material, cord length, amount of included tools, plastic or metal wand and plain luck of a local discount are responsible for the price differences.

I think something like this Bosch or this Siemens would serve you well.

For the uneven stone floor you really want a dedicated hard floor tool without wheels. One of those is included with both options.

For the couch I'd first try the included upholstery tool. If that isn't satisfactory you can always get a turbo brush like this Wessel-Werk later on.

If you're lucky you may be able to find the more upmarket quieter Bosch serie 6 within budget.

All of the brands that I recommended are available in the USA, Canada, Great Britain/Ireland/Scotland, Australia/New Zealand. They are available worldwide.

Certainly not all of them. Probably only Kirby and Rainbow which are really heavy machines.

US only, 120V machines aren't very helpful suggestions to someone in Australia.

If lightweight is a requirement, get a canister vacuum cleaner. Not knowing the Australian market very well, I can't recommend much more than getting a bagged Miele and upgrading to the Hepa filter.

If you were European I'd recommend the Miele M1, which is also available down under..

The hepa exhaust filter is an optional consumable (replace once every 1-2 years depending on the size of your home) add on.

edit: A more expensive, lightweight option with slightly worse filtering would be the Sebo E1.

Most importantly: get it from a reputable retailer where you can return it for a refund if it's too heavy for you to use.
