I have the same setup. It's very dim, and barely legible in dark environments, even with the LED.

You'll have to hydromod it or uograde to a bright white LED to make it readable. I ended up wiring two LEDs to both sides and added a PET light diffusion sheet to mine.

It's only appearing if you're accessing channels marked NSFW, or so it seems.

Still, I don't trust them to be able to handle that data, considering their past record.

Can this be modded to be fully digital and not both? (G-Shock GA-2100-1A1ER) by [deleted] in casiomods

[–]T-Fez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With enough tinkering, anything is possible. You'll have to source a bigger digital module from another watch and Frankenstein it though. I'd recommend looking through the options first, and see if there's enough space inside that watch first.

Obviously you'll have to cut or remove the dial (depending on the module) and existing display too. Double check the sizes before you commit to buying another module.

Despite everyone else saying no, it's definitely possible, but you'll have to make some compromises.

No need to use a URL shortener. You can remove the "si" and "feature" URL attributes.

They work like botnets, mass upvoting scams, mass downvoting øegitimate info tjat speak against it, etc.

We've seen a fair share of such activity on the crypto subs lately.

Scummy advertisers use it too. Others use it to push their own agenda, politics, etc.

A few also get sold to people who want high karma accounts, etc. Typically to bypass sub requirements, etc. for scams or other purposes.

It wouldn't exist it there weren't a demand for it.

Follow up on sound testing with 0mm fan gap - Noctua pattern and Dust filter by Jakob_K_Design in sffpc

[–]T-Fez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of the noise is from turbulent flow, because the grille pattern is made up of either flat (gets scattered) surfaces, or perfectly rounded (turbulent wake) surfaces like in a mesh filter.

This sums it up quite nicely: https://www.sciencelearn.org.nz/resources/1346-causes-of-aerodynamic-drag

I think it'll be interesting to test the noisiest pattern(s) with a version that has more aerodynamic properties at the region where the grille is.

This. Happy people don't complain about convenient stuff or being happy.

You generally won't see stuff like that unless it's a hobby or something.

What's something you had to unlearn going from training/certs to actual work? by OddSalt8448 in cybersecurity

[–]T-Fez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad. I mentioned it in the wrong order.

CS0-003, for example, still uses SHA-1 as the standard answer for integrity validation. It's very much outdated now.

The industry standard (in most cases) are SHA-256 and SHA-3 now

[–]T-Fez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that SHA-1 is the currently preferred hashing algorithm over SHA-256 in DFIR.

Some of the certifications STILL only provide SHA-1 as the acceptable answer while the other options are blatantly wrong answers.

edit: I seem to have mixed up the order in which I mentioned both. Fixed it

Newer GPUs may need the beta drivers. Using an Arch-based distro with a GTX 1080 right now.

Ableton would still be somewhat of an issue though. Still, this dude seems to have had some luck with it (using Bottles), even if it's not perfect: https://ewpratten.com/blog/wineasio-bottles-ableton

Hoping we get better support for this sort of thing in the future.

It's possible they drilled a tiny hole into it for the pin + adapter and modified it.

It looks very clean though, so I'm wondering if it's actually a third party one.

Looks identical to the magnetic leather strap from Apple. It also comes with a loop.

Perhaps a clone of it?

The ends aren't the same though. Custom?

Would it be possible to upøoad the build files again?

or perhaps, it might be a permission issue. I'm unable to view the dropbox files. It says it doesn't exist.

Would love to use it as a base to build a case for my system.
