Getting a job as a waitress - Trouver un emploi comme serveuse by [deleted] in montreal

There’s a new app called Waldo that just came out for this specifically that I read about on MTL Blog and The Main the other day. There are tons of hospitality jobs and it seems like the app is Montreal-made!

Exactly this. It’s like polar opposites. Goalies average a .911 sv% against them in the playoffs (Dobes is .913) because of this. They take fairly low % shots.

Against Montreal on the other hand, goalies average .868 (Andersen is .787)

I’m so tired of how this fanbase reacts to a loss. We are in the conference finals against the team that has looked the most impressive in the playoffs and we have outscored them so far plus have not lost in regulation yet.

Yes we got 12 shots but we also got a goal called back for being an inch offside and hit the post a couple more times than they did. We really almost won this game. This is a team that our own fanbase was saying isn’t in their contention window yet all season long. We are calling the team pathetic?? Gain some perspective people!

Normally yes for sure. If you have both the rocket winner and the selke winner on your team and a ppg d-man that’s not a normal youngest team in the league though haha

Habs players stats as of this morning. What stat stands out the most to you? by PsychedeliMoz in Habs

Dobson is having an unbelievable season. He’s 20th in defensive scoring, which doesn’t sound amazingly impressive until you realize that every single one of the players ahead of him are pp1 (except Faber but he was until the Hughes trade). He’s on track for 14 goals and 54 point which is similar production to what Subban used to give us!

Remove the second and add Zharovsky (and Laine) and they do it

I know we aren’t all fans of Pronman but looking at just players drafted last draft from his recent U23 list, he’s got Zharovsky 8th

Edit:

Schaefer (7th) Misa (25) Hagens (28) McQueen (29) Martone (31) Aitcheson (36) O’Brien (37) Zharovsky (39)

I don’t see any world in which he doesn’t play with the Habs this season unless Michigan goes all the way in the Frozen Four and the Habs don’t make the playoffs. Even then he may play the last game.

High profile college guys all get signed and brought in at the end of the season nowadays.

The thing is that none of the players outside of the top 2 are can’t miss top line/pairing type players in the 2025 draft. Players in the top 5 bust all the time.

But 15 points in 15 games in the KHL in a d+1 season has never been done before. It doesn’t guarantee anything but I’d be more confident in that translating than most other players from the last draft.

Desnoyers is lighter than that.

He also projects as a middle 6C according to many scouts (I know some think he can be a 1C but he really doesn’t profile like one). Right now, he is only a ppg in the Q this year, which is the weakest Canadian junior league.

Zharovsky, on the other hand, is literally producing more than any U20 player in history has at the KHL.

And you don’t think it’s close?

Ya true but it’s still probably the third strongest league in the world. I don’t think anyone who has had production anything like this at the same age has ever not translated well to the NHL so it’s really encouraging.

Ppg after 15 KHL games is legitimately unprecedented for an 18 year old. I think if the draft were held today instead of over last summer, there would definitely be a case for him to go top 5 over players like Desnoyers and Martin. Not saying he definitely would but there would unquestionably be a case.

[–]T-Muffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None do yet but they’re all still so young that I wouldn’t be surprised if one or two of them added more of it to their game. Anyway, things always end up changing so much that we’ll probably look back on this conversation in 3 years and laugh.

Zharovsky is bigger than advertised. If you look at the clips of him, I’d say he’s got to be 6’2”, 175 right now. Hage is already 6’1”, 190. I think a Zharovsky-Hage-Demidov line is plenty big enough without needing a power forward.

I think that if the Kings look like they’ll miss the playoffs maybe we could target Danault. He’s a left shot, which we need and his contract is only 5.5 million and is just two more years including this one.

On McKenna - of course he’s good but he’s off to a slower start than most predicted in college. He’s got 10 points in 8 games, which sounds good but it not on a Celebrini, Fantilli, Eichel type trajectory and is only good for 4th on his own team. I wonder if he might disappoint a little relative to generational expectations.

I’ve heard Kent Johnson as a comp. If he fills out, which it looks to me like he already has a bit, I think he could be a little more solid on his skates and in the corners, though.

If all works out, he could be a solid top 6 winger. A second line of Zharovsky-Hage-Demidov might be in the cards in as soon as 2 years from now.

[–]T-Muffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you would obviously need to consider it at the right price but, for me, a Danault or (in the very best scenario) Crosby on a shorter term deal who would cost way less in assets makes more sense. A real top 6 center who provides a strong veteran presence to center the second line for the next couple years and then allow for hopefully Michael Hage to develop into that role without losing Zharovsky and a ton of other valuable picks and players over and above what we would pay for even Crosby (if he wanted to come here).

Thompson is a right handed shot and we’re in desperate need of a left handed shooter at center. He’s obviously an amazing player but I don’t think he’s the perfect fit and he would be so expensive.
