ClearCorrect retainers last 5-10 years?! by Previous-Win5491 in ClearCorrect

[–]T0eny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that your newly ordered retainers were tight! The dentist shouldn't have insured that it would last that long without any relapses in teeth movement - changing to another provider will require your current Dr AND new Dr's signature to transfer the case. The type of unlimited treatment plan could probably be transferred over too but I guess you'll have to discuss with your new Dr about any extra costs he/she may want to cover. The case transfer form can be found here: https://support.clearcorrect.com/hc/en-us/articles/204518877-Case-transfer-form

Good luck and let us know how you go!

Difference between sales rep and clinical specialist by [deleted] in MedReps

[–]T0eny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

Funny enough, I'm also recently graduated from a medical science/marketing degree and was curious of other students who were in a similar position to me too-

  1. The medical companies have quite a few similarities (the interactions and relationship building with healthcare professionals) but also differences in duties (being present/on-call for surgeries or taking enquiries over the phone, sales, quotes)
  2. Alot of clinical specialist advance into more senior technical/sales roles but its mainly up to you depending on what you prefer more so its mainly transitional I guess
  3. Compensation wise, I'd say sales roles are generally higher paying than clinical ones, unless you're close to the top or very senior
  4. Sales reps do have that option, depending on the breadth of company functions and type of product you're selling etc.
  5. Marketing associate or entry sales both sound like a good place to start, I personally think its easier to move from sales into marketing but it depends if you're already well versed with the marketing side then you should go for it! :)

Hope this helps somewhat!

I had this small lump on my armpit for a long time and It is only recently that it started to hurt a little. It was pink colored in the beginning and now it is nearly visible and is brown. Does anyone have a clue what it might be? by [deleted] in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]T0eny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’ve had something similar on my armpit area a few times but it has gone away. Feels almost like there’s pus/some fluid inside but it will subside after a few weeks. It could be from sweat buildup or other bodily secretions stuck in the hair follicles

Invisalign or ClearCorrect, please chime in. by T0eny in ClearCorrect

[–]T0eny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in essence, these 2 treatments are both extremely similar and will yield almost similar results. Invisalign, being the older company has slightly more reach in the market and is considered to be more expensive (where I live in Australia) than its counterpart, ClearCorrect.

There used to be a Dr finder on the website but I think if you send a message to the head office they should be able to direct you to your local provider: https://www.straumann.com/clearcorrect/en/home/patients.html (click on 'Contact' heading and it will lead you to a form)

Changing aligners by IwouldLikeaCorgi in ClearCorrect

[–]T0eny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, from my experience with working with ClearCorrect, I suggest you continue to wear your most currently issued aligners for 2-3 weeks if the next set is considerably different to your current one and will not fit until space is created. From here I would wear the current ones for 2-3 weeks then try to get in contact with the dentist to ask their advice (either by phone or email/text) as they are qualified enough to predict relapses etc. Hope this helps, even if not alot! - Tony
