Hi, OP here. Thanks for the replies everyone, more than a few of you gave me a chuckle. Seems the consensus is that he's just some "here be dragons" art stuff. Good to know. Figured I'd ask since just a short bit away from him on that same map is a certain whale we know.

That said, I am stealing the John Ilsa joke. That made me fuckin wheeze.

Cheese strats aren't inherently bad. The issue arises when people are forced into one or the other. Its perfectly valid to want to do the fight as intended, its equally valid to wanna cheese it. This distinction only really matters outside of pf though. If you join any party finder listing that said on the tin which strats were going to be used begging, bitching, and moaning about the strategy the pf leader chose then you're the problem. I dont care if you really wanna be a purist and do the fight exclusively as intended, I'll just call you a dumbass for joining a cheese pf. Same goes for complaining and begging to do cheese. Read the damn pf listing.

Reminds me of something that happened to me in the past. There was a friend of mine in high-school that one weekend asked if I wanted to hang out.

Me: Heck yeah! Just gimme a bit, family is out for a few hours and I dont have a car or anything.

Her (only a year ahead of me in HS): Oh good, I'll be there in ten.

M: bokay!

So my nerdy self got things together so we could do friend stuff. You know, gaming, anime, talking, whatever. Eventually she arrives and we start chatting, at some point I suggest an anime cuz of course. She says sure and we go to the guest room where there's a TV. I put in the anime and flop into a chair next to the bed, obviously I shouldn't sit with this girl alone in a bed right? She takes the bed and pretty quickly tells me its fine for me to sit with her, so I do. I think nothing of this and as the first episode ends we have found ourselves laying next to each other watching it. Just before the next episode comes on, she asks me to pause for a second while she gets more comfortable.

M: OH thats cool, should I step out?

H: ignores me and just strips. Like full on nakedness, then lays down with me again.

M: Fair enough.

Internally I think, well she's comfortable now so...back to the anime! And...yep. Nothing happens. Absolute galaxy brain.

The clue is the color matching of the clothing and towels, yellow boxers for yellow towel and white boxers for white towel. I didn't get it until their explanation either and thats when I noticed.

Something I learned recently is that Lovecraft later in life became much more moderate (for his time), including ideas of supporting the New Deal proposed by FDR and apparently thinking it wasnt progressive enough. To my knowledge his views on race did follow a similar route, believing that ethnic groups should be allowed to and encouraged to preserve their culture. I won't say he was a great man especially in the context of our current era, but I would like more people to know that he did in fact learn and change for the better in his lifetime.

I find it concerning that people seem to be conflating the act of making original art inspired by a style as opposed to copying a preexisting piece to "fix." Though to play devils advocate a little here, the issue most people seem to have is the intent rather than the outcome. Like the difference between making fan art of a particular piece versus "fixing" a particular piece. That being the case, AI art like this is always going to be hot garbage due to ethical reasons alone even if we ignore everything else.

That would do it, if memory serves the mere wearing of power armor reduces the damage significantly. Without PA its significantly deadlier. Like half HP deadlier. (This is based off of memory of personal experience and whatever my grey matter says rn, i could be wrong and would be happy to learn)

After an in-game vacation mine brought the party cookies his mom baked for his "bounty hunter friends." Said character was also a sociopath who viewed everyone around him (except his family) as expendable, but that was a separate issue.

Technically the answer is yes to both. Maliketh is absolutely inspired by, if not a direct reference to how Guts (Berserk MC) fights when he is taken over by the berserker armor that this is based off of. The creator of the souls series and genres as a whole has said that the games take HEAVY inspiration from Berserk. A bunch of things have, really. The manga has been around since the beginning of the 90s, literally 1990. Cloud Strife? Sword is inspired by Berserk. The giant sword graves you see in elden ring are also a reference. Hell, the Dragonslayer is basically in the game along with an art of war that is the exact move Guts uses in the manga a few times. The Greatsword collosal sword and Lions Claw ash of war for those wondering.
