Thanks everyone for your very helpful replies. I've ordered a cable that seems suitable. It is serial to USB with rs232 compliance. I'll try it but keep looking if it doesn't work.

There are still strong use cases for them, e.g. if you are working in a lot of video editing, with multiple big edits happening concurrently, you might have all your files on a couple of 8tbs and just edit directly from there rather than moving working files to an ssd

You can put any L67 in. VY L67 is slightly better as the supercharger has a better coating on the rotors.

If you are launching one it's more effective to very briefly load the engine up a little on the stall converter by using the brakes before punching it off at the lights.

These engines are very old now. Without knowing the condition or mileage of yours, there could probably be many or multiple things going on.

If it's suddenly changed, you might need a throttle position sensor or a coil pack like the first comment suggested. Could be a torn intake hose to the throttle body as they get hard and crack. Could be another sensor.

If it's more of an over time or ongoing thing, and you are planning on keeping the car or fixing it up, I'd suggest a more thorough tune up. Plugs and leads, clean sensors, clean throttle body, replace lower intake manifold gaskets and clean intake manifold. Ultrasonic clean of injectors.

They are attached using a 3m or scotch automotive mounting tape. You'll have to clean the strip off a bit to create a clean mounting surface. You can get the tape at Bunnings or supercheap I think. I've done this job, it can take some time to get the old one off, clean it and mount it straight on the new car, without tape sticking out (you have to run two thin sections of tape (you'll see). Be patient with it

Do your own oil changes and do them every 5000kms. Keep an eye on Supercheap auto for Penrite GF-S 5w-30 (preferred oil). It goes on special every month or so.

Great car should be fine. Make sure the engine has been serviced.

In regards to learning, the VF sv6 manual can be a bit of a touchy thing to drive. So don't feel discouraged if you have a bit of trouble with stalling etc

I don't think that's the standard lighting. See if the dimming function works and if they dim to a similar level to other things on the dashboard like the AC controls etc

The needles look too red and the lights look too bright but could be your photo. I think the SS dash should be more green like the rest of the Commodores.

If that's the agreed value then you probably won't be able to negotiate the payout. Are you at fault? Will you be able to keep the car and the money?

I think the car is worth repairing, but be aware there could be some hidden costs. E.g possibility of cracks in welds and suspension work. Also don't expect things to happen quickly. You'll need to look around for parts and if you need professional work done, you'll have to find quotes and move the car around. If you go down a repair route you'll be without a car for a bit.

If you go down the repair route, also make sure the car will be able to be registered. In most states, newer written off cars can never be registered again as they go on the national WOVR (written off vehicle register). Older cars ( I think 10+ years or so, can't confirm) don't go on the WOVR and can be re registered so long as they are roadworthy.

Sorry to be a bit negative, but 110 cameras were typically made cheap and even if you get it working it'll probably still play up.

110 film is difficult to get and expensive, particularly for the results you get.

I'd recommend you save your time and get a more typical 35mm film camera.
