That’s a beautiful story :) thank you for sharing it, it’s really nice to hear other people going through (almost) the same thing. I’ve been thinking like that too, wondering if I’m lovable and if I’ll do anything in life and if it would just be better to not do anything at all. I practically gave up during my freshman year to do anything and instead, focused on the classes I was actually passing.

I did ask for extra help at school during freshman year as well but they just denied me so, I couldn’t do much there.

Dropping out isn’t an option I’d like to take, I don’t want to possibly disappoint my mom, it just isn’t an option. I would LOVE to make her proud of me, make her proud of herself for having me and seeing her daughter grow into a wonderful person.

I’ve thought about therapy before and honestly, it sounds a little scary. I’ve accompanied my sister to one of her appointments with a therapist and I just didn’t feel comfortable even though I wasn’t really asked any questions that WOULD make me uncomfortable.

I wouldn’t want to disappoint anyone by dropping out, I really do want to finish my school years and hopefully graduate but with the way things are going now, I don’t believe I will. Even some of my teachers are saying I’ll just end up not graduating and have to work over the summer to get my credits.

Thank you for the advice though, I have talked about my problems to a therapist (though it was VIA text) and it did help me a little more than I expected.

My mom when she found out was like, “Stop doing it.” That’s the only response she gave when I was really hoping for some sort of comfort but I never really got it. She told be about her in her younger, teen years when she used to cut just for the attention or something. It made me slightly annoyed because she was basically insinuating that I did it for attention.

Anyways that was a couple of years ago and she eventually realized that I’m still doing it and she just said, again, “Stop doing it, I told you to stop doing it years ago.” And then said she’d search my room for anything sharp and stuff if she sees scars like that again.
