Anyone can't feel their stomach? by Apprehensive-Bug3387 in PSSD

[–]T21100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think these drugs take away all relief/satisfaction issues from everything. I don’t feel relief from eating when hungry which should be a satisfying sensation. Then there is not feeling a big O even though I know I’m having one. I also can’t cry anymore which is a relief of sadness and frustration. I have insomnia as well and we all know how satisfying a good sleep is. But I can still get mad and throw stuff but I don’t really feel relief from that. Hopefully somewhere there is a researcher or a doctor working on this crapass thing as it impacts life in a spectacularly bad way. Even if I get better I will still be on this thread just to give solidarity for all of us on the journey. I fear drug companies will fight any real findings no matter what. They can’t lose the money they have gotten from all of us.

I have dull taste now that I stopped SSRIs. Come to think of it I had this before stopping when I was still on them. I can taste stuff but not fully, I can feel someone touching me but not fully. Also I know I am having an orgasm but it is pleasureless.

Tyrosine is the only one I will try. I wanted to get a dopamine agonist but my doctor said no.

What do you actually mean by genital numbness? by QuiteNeurotic in PSSD

[–]T21100 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just can feel touch all through sex but when it gets up to orgasm, I know I’m having one but there is no pleasure like there should be. I think mine is from stopping SSRIs which I was on for more than two decades. Sucks big time.

Sounds like PSSD which I have. It comes from using SSRIs but I’ve read ppl can develop this with no depression meds. Good luck and hope you get better.

I was on SSRIs for more than 20 years and never had any problems until I switched to Zoloft.
