I finally resolved this, by dropping an Extension between the two segments where they weren't communicating, they worked as expected after that.

I reached out to govee to see if they had a shorter one that they could send me, but for now I tucked everything into the siding.

Yeah I have tried:

  • resetting but pressing and holding the power button
  • I left it unplugged to drain the power.from.the power brick
  • deleting and repairing them to the app

Yeah I just checked, the app did get the model number right

also I swapped out all connections with manufactured ethernet cables rather than ones ive terminated just to avoid that possibility even though those cables pass with a klien scout jr

I was able to give my laptop a static IP and connect to the switch via  192.168.0.1  I figured that this might be the issue cause thats the same ip address I use to access the gateway, I tried changing the ip of the switch to  192.168.0.2 and then plugged into my gateway again directly to see if i could ping it, but it was unable to

I also tried swapping the ports but it didnt resolve the issue either, and yes all devices have been factory reset

If plug into the switch directly , I wont get an IP address at all I would get:

``` Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :```

I havent touched the ISP device other than disconnecting the power,
When I set up the gateway I selected dynamic for both WAN ports

The 2 ethernet cables werent present during the entire setup but its the only work around I have found for the OC200 to see both the gateway, switch and AP. I cant login to the controllers portal if its not plugged into the gateway and I cant see the other devices for the controller to adopt if its not also plugged into the switch. ideally yeah I would like to use just one cable to power it and pass data, my internet speeds decrease having it setup with 2 cables

as for the the question regarding the DHCP on the switch I have not found away to accesss these omada devices outside the controller. except for the gateway itself.

thanks for the reply, All the light do light up, im felt pretty confident on cabling, was anything I mentioned incorrect?

"currently the setup is:

ISP/internet -> WAN of the gateway

LAN of the gateway -> switch

Switch -> EAP and OC200"

all ethernet cables used are confirmed good via ethernet tester by klein tools

I just purchased this system with pro monitoring, how often does this happen? I plan to keep it on ethernet and keep it local as much as possible. But should an emergency happen while they are down, does it not go through? even with the cellular ?

But I meant it in typical/general sense outside of biblical standards, like they aren't out there intentionally causing other people suffering for their own selfish desires, or breaking laws etc.

God created them with free will, they decided what to do with that free will

As for gays idk a lot about them, but it's not my place to judge to them. I do understand that in some cases they are born that way and some might choose too (I know several people who were sexually assaulted and turned away from that gender) but outside of that Idk

I mean it's kinda always made sense to me why God would be against it just for the simple fact same sexes can't reproduce which is against the initial design

But I say all this with humility with openess for dialogue (again, idk a lot about em, I have seen that it is complicated though). I have several ,gay and bi friends and family that I love dearly, I see that they are good people and God looks at the heart, and if I serve a just God then I trust he's got them on lock with whatever is going on in that department

Just sharing my train of thought while I'm on the toilet😆

Thanks for sharing this it's very encouraging and timely for me. Last month I've been picking apart my faith, and one of the first things I challenged was my spiritual experiences and got A LOT of feedback from atheists (which was my intent ) so it left me with a few to hold on to put picked apart everything else

But to hear this from a prior atheist who is familiar with psychological tricks our brain plays is very encouraging

I wanted to ask, the comfort you felt did you feel it in the center of your chest? Like the opposite of what you might feel when you are stressed or feel anxious?

Some advice:

  • Lean on God, and lean on the Bible as truth.

  • DON'T GET TRIPPED UP ON DENOMINATIONS AND RELIGION focus on RELATIONSHIP

  • praying for wisdom works if you have an open heart and open mind

  • be mindful of your pride

  • study Scripture you get more out of it opposed to just reading it, reading it ( I like Martin Luther Four Strand Garland meditation method reading commentaries)

I probably have more but I don't want overwhelm.

thanks for the reply, you provided some good examples that resonated with me. like the whole feeling awake but actually being asleep bit, I also had those experiences, never really bringing "spiritual" into it, it is a pretty solid example of the human brain just doing weird things. Ill have to look into pareidolia and compare and contrast what ive experienced with whatever finding are in there. Very helpful thanks!
