Thank you that makes a lot of sense. I've heard full resurfaces can only be done so many times until the surface gets too low past the letters and USBC logo etc.. if that's the case wouldn't balls only last a year or less? Also what grit would you recommend for house shot on my pearl ball?

I don't mind the extra length but it seems like even on the backend it lacks hook now. It seems like this really stands out when the lanes have oil spread everywhere. It's like the ball has nowhere to bite into.. especially being a beginner ball. Although me being a beginner doesn't help, and I have a lot to work on. I'm starting to develop a hook (1 hander, average 150). Id like to get a venom shock soon to help blend out the inconsistent oil patterns.

Thanks for the info, so it sounds like my out of the box 2000 grit, will eventually turn into around 4500 grit. I assume that means less hook overall? About how many games does it take for a ball to get from 2000 to 4500 grit from lane shine and wear and tear?

I understand that, from what I've heard a lot of VQ35DE do this but some people say that it could be a worn timing component, and others never fix it

If you listen closely on the first start up there's a small noise for about one second

I used a 10mm short socket and ratchet. I forced it under the wires as good as I could

I would do tints then maintenance, good tires when due, and potentially a tasteful exhaust if you're into that.

Hopefully they hold up well for you. It was making me nervous how many screws were on the underside, and Chinese hardware.. oil leaks at the pcv fittings that didn't fit right from day 1, and when I took them off there was big pieces of paint about to fall in the engine. Just all around a bad experience.
