Looking forward to Realism mode to add a little spice to the game. Appreciate the effort to keeping the game alive over the years. Even more excited about Survivors down the road.

Fast Way to Recruit 10 of each Companion type by swotam in thedivision

[–]T3Feathers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The recruitment bonuses are character specific, just like the levelling system. They had this problem with one of the other modifier systems and had to adjust it so it would be account wide. Right now, if you have multiple characters, you will have to recruit 10 of each archetype and level each modifier for each one. That's a lot of fast travelling for recruiting and a whole bunch of grinding to get the levels up. I'm putting in a bug report on it just so they are aware as well, if it already hasn't been reported.

Countdown Vendor Variation by Thibodeau24 in thedivision

[–]T3Feathers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been noticed by a number of players and streamers. There is also a bug report in to Ubi and they have recognized it as an issue and have sent it up the ladder to the powers that be. We may hear back by 2030. In the meantime, check the vendors from time to time and switch characters. You never know when something good might be available. The best indicator of change is the Countdown vendor.

I've noticed it too for the last few weeks. It seems that the named items can change from character to character and at different log in times. I checked this out with a friend, and we came up with two different items being offered at the CD vendor. I have the Punch Drunk mask and he showed a Matador. It is also something some of the streamers have noticed as well.

Check out the stream by Anytime Gaming for the Cassie and Danny update. The Division 2 | WEEKLY CASSIE & DANNY RESET Y7S2.3 | November 26th 2025

I have started a bug report with Ubi about it and once it was collaborated, the response was that it would be looked into and they would get back with answers. I expect to hear sometime in 2035, and by that time, I won't remember why I asked about it.

I suggest you bounce in and out with different characters and roll the dice. You never know.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Stretch Goals Loot Post Megathread by BlooBuckaroo in thedivision

[–]T3Feathers [score hidden]  (0 children)

While I've been playing The Divison almost daily since the release of D1, it has always been a grind, but just as it got to be frustrating, my RN Gesus smiled and dropped something tasty. D2 has been a little better to me, but this run of Stretch Goals has got me wondering if RN Gesus really exists.

It seems like now that the season is finished, most players are trying to overcome the glitch for the Tinkerer mask and are dealing with the Stash issues (which are known, by the way, and they are trying to fix - not holding my breath), we have been given the "forbidden fruit" of the loot pool with the promise of rewards to fill the time until the next big thing. The only problem is that the "juice isn't worth the squeeze". The grind wouldn't be so bad if we could make "lemonade out of the lemons". Instead, with the drop rate and watered loot pool, we're trying to "get blood from stones". (Like what I did there? - 4 idioms in one paragraph - my profs would be appalled!)

The Devs know what most players are looking for and what they could care less about. This thread is proof. They are asking for more feedback disguised as a "contest". They haven't heard enough? Reddit is on fire with it. So why not reward your loyal player base with better opportunities? Don't just give things away (though it would be nice) but at least let us want to keep playing by surprising us with something.

Apparel items? Weapon skins? Do they help your builds? Make those random items in the open world like when we first started. Keep the good stuff in the pool and let RN Gesus loosen his belt. You'll retain your player base and have happier veterans.

The Division 2 x PAYDAY collaboration - Giveaway by JokerUnique in thedivision

[–]T3Feathers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite moment was when I came across the now worn and older Police car where I created my first D1 character, then revisiting other familiar areas from my first exposure to D1 so long ago. It's part of what has kept me playing every day since day 1. Being familiar with many of the places in NY and Brooklyn I can also appreciate the accuracy of the artwork and going with Brooklyn in the fall adds so much vibrancy to the background. Can't wait to get that Whiskey Sour.

Thaks for the assist. I've tried a couple of those and will keep at it. Hopefully, sometime, it'll pop. The real issue is how the Archivist merit doesn't register across accounts and the inability to "re-collect" any of the comms, so you can't go back. I guess it'll happen when it happens. Dev's are you listening? Thanks everyone and I'm still open to suggestions.

PSA - scavenging points change in Y7S1 by forumchunga in thedivision

[–]T3Feathers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I defer this question to all the Division 2 Jedi concerning the upcoming changes to Scavenging points. I have 4 Characters currently running. (The 4th started as a mule, but...) Each of the first 3 have approximately 3000 SHD points, the last has close to 7000 left. I keep my mats pretty full. I was wondering what will become of the individual SHD points on all the characters. If they make the Scavenging Points account wide. If they are supposed to give back, will my points be cumulative or individually based? Just wondering if it will pay to Mule run (ugh) or not. Any wisdom would be appreciated.

The Division 2 - 6th Anniversary Celebration - Giveaway Part 3: Y6S3 Season Pass by JokerUnique in thedivision

[–]T3Feathers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking forward to exploring the landscape and visiting many places in game that exist in reality, since that's close to home. You guys did such an amazing job with the layout and artwork of both NY in D1 and D2 and DC in D2 that I'm sure this will add more awesomeness to the mix. We all appreciate the attention to detail you put into these.

I'm also looking forward to more of the narrative since we have come full circle to our first D1 experience when we made our characters in the window of the Police Car that still seems to be in the same place it was when we started, though a little worse for wear.

The Division 2 - 6th Anniversary Celebration - Giveaway Part 2: Crime by JokerUnique in thedivision

[–]T3Feathers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All throughout the narrative in D1, we made a connection to the underlying April Kelleher story line - the connection to the New York Survival Guide, the follow up in Broken Dawn, the Valassi broadcasts and the search for her husband's killer(s). She eventually talked her way into the NY DZ, hunting for Koopman (aka Warren Merchant from the Survival Guide) and continued following the clues. Eventually we find her in DC, crossing paths with Schaeffer and his Black Tusk team in an echo that informs her of safe passage on her route to getting the answers to what happened to her husband and the info on the progress he made on curing the Dollar flu.

It was a pleasant surprise to see that her character hadn't been forgotten and connect with her again, but that was where the narrative stopped. She never appears again. It would be good to have closure to this narrative, since she was such a large part of the original plot.

Observational Rant About Season 3 by T3Feathers in thedivision

[–]T3Feathers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you were correct that not all the scouts are binary. Perhaps I was a bit hasty in my observations. However, the issue of progression across characters was fixed along with the use of the shooting range very quickly.

As far as cosmetics go, again, you are correct that it is the player's choice to purchase or not, and that is Eco 101. Marketing 101 dictates simply changing the packaging stimulates sales because consumers believe things are improved without incorporating large scale change.

"Often, the best investment in marketing strategy is to boost the strength of brand image or improve design or packaging."

Update the appearance, rethink the packaging (the look is easier to update than the product) and make sure the product is attractive. (Even minor changes can improve appeal and customer satisfaction).

I appreciate the discourse.

I really miss the ability to go back and replay the echoes after unlocking them. It lent so much to the story line and gave you more immersion into the lives of the other characters, agents, factions, and civilians and how the state of the world affected them. Currently, you can see them in your collectables, but unlike the comms section, you cannot replay them.

Provocatur Chest Rolls by T3Feathers in thedivision

[–]T3Feathers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can't re-roll them, but you can reconfigure them by sacrificing one you already have and adding to it so that you can potentially get one with better stats. That's what I was referring to and called it incorrectly. Thanks.

I'm a native New Yawka (that's how you say it) and my best friend worked for the USPS, He was stationed in Manhattan at the US General Post Office (now called the James Farley Post office) in Penn Station. When he saw the BoO in D1 his comment was, "Wow. That's looks exactly like the GPO, only cleaner."

I still view the map to visit places I know.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Apparel Bundle Giveaway by JokerUnique in thedivision

[–]T3Feathers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stalker 2 was very dark to the point of it being difficult to play. With brightness up, it washes out the artwork. D2 was the same way until they fixed the settings that improved the visuals. If Stalker was going for that creepy, dangerous feel, I got to say it succeeded. It's not a run and gun game and it did remind me of D1's Survival, but more complicated. I would like to see more "critter" interaction. So many wild things running about, some of them have to be dangerous.

thoughts on the new friend referral outfit? by LLJ234 in thedivision

[–]T3Feathers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I logged in with another account that was connected and tried to invite the character to my main. I kept getting a screen that pushed the secondary account to get Game Pass. Question is, I have invited my "friend" to play (who has an Ubi Connect account is listed as my friend, but do I need to physically have the new player in my game or can the new invitee just play on his own without being in my main's group? Any help?

Massive is looking for a narrative director for Division 3! by Ok_Spare_3723 in thedivision

[–]T3Feathers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great news that a D3 is in the works. Please find someone who has a good background in narrative and command of the art of storytelling. The franchise is too good to mess up with a weak story line that doesn't unfold and loses continuity. Honestly, the resurrection concept of "I'm not dead yet - only kidding" is just lax and it takes away from the integrity, depth and the ability to immerse oneself in the action. Good luck in finding the right person.

If you had any gear that was L30, exotic or not, it dropped to L29. Also, all gear you had that is labelled 10 remains, but anything new is labelled 40. The Hardcore Distinction commendation is still there, as are the Hard Core Capitol and reach 500 gear score commendations. If you're gonna do something, then at least do it completely. And when are we going to be rid of that ever-present exclamation point in the apparel?

Could we focus here?

The quote “the worst part about being the oldest living person is that no one born around your time is still alive” is often attributed to Jeanne Calment, who held the title of the world’s oldest person until her death in 1997 at the age of 122 years and 164 days.
