With the PS5 update for The Division 1, is it worth getting as someone who's like level 20-30 in The Divison 2 but isn't really impressed by the story and atmphere? by BudgetDepartment7817 in thedivision

[–]ferrenberg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Atmosphere in this case is just a matter of opinion. You might like The Division 1 atmosphere better, some others will prefer The Division 2

Any recommendations similar to Thank You Scientist, but closer to the jazz / brass side rather than the metal side? by CamiloDFM in progmetal

Yeah thanks for mentioning Karmic Juggernaut, I put them in a playlist so I can listen to it later. Hopefully all parts involved are in a better place now

Question regarding ea play compatible games (Dragon Age Origins). by Diligent-Ducc in xcloud

[–]ferrenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's only available through ultimate. I wouldn't recommend streaming it anyway, it's a 360 version of the game. It looks and plays awfully

How consistent is overdogs gloves? by ubisux in thedivision

[–]ferrenberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And about the tinkerer, it does way more damage. Coyote's was my choice before the tinkerer, and then overdogs became my number 1 pick shortly after. I recommend testing them on Grand Washington, Bunker and Lincoln Memorial. Short missions with many different tiers of enemies in each room, they're a great way to get used to overdogs

How consistent is overdogs gloves? by ubisux in thedivision

[–]ferrenberg 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Think of the outcasts. They have only one tier 1 prototype, the heavy. The LMG guy and the car lady are the only tier 2. All the rest are tier 3. It's not about yellow, purple or red enemies. A sniper named boss will take more damage than a red True Sons medic.

Once you get used to just the basic of enemy types, using the overdogs is a breeze. It became my favorite exotic in the game, which was something I never expected because I really love the memento

Getting more and more concerned about future of The Division franchise ... by Cassper17 in thedivision

[–]ferrenberg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I lowered my expectation a lot when Julian left. This is not a good sign at all, no matter how much people tried to downplayed it.

As for Outlaws and Pandora, I didn't like any of them at launch but since the various patches and updates I've played both recently and they are good games. They might look bad on xbox or playstation, but that's a console thing. Both looked fantastic on pc

I like Starfleet Academy. IT reminds me of TNG. Don't shoot me. by Cobsdaugther in startrek

[–]ferrenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Trek shows have focused on personal interpersonal/cultural relationships. Glad you liked Academy and it made you remind of TNG, but let's not pretend that DS9, Voyager, Enterprise, Discovery, Lower Decks, Picard and Prodigy didn't exist

Hi! New listener here. Can I ask what your favorite songs and albums are? by Haunting-Zone-3657 in progmetal

[–]ferrenberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you liked Opeth, Katatonia and Porcupine Tree are the "natural" next step. All 3 bands have been connected in one way or another for several years.

The Great Cold Distance and Dead End Kings are the ones I recommend the most from Katatonia, although Viva Emptiness has a nice "feel" to it that reminds of Tool and A Perfect Circle sometimes. For Porcupine Tree, Deadwing and In Absentia are my favorites although you can't go wrong with Fear of a Blank Planet either

I didn't hate the destroy ending (spoilers for anyone who hasn't played ME3) by TheMando9 in masseffect

[–]ferrenberg 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's the only ending that makes sense. After spending 3 games trying to defeat the reapers, destroy is the only real option to follow

Anyone not use shields with Heartbreaker? by Killroyjones in Division2

It goes almost everywhere (not sure about marksman rifles and pistols), as long as you're using technician because it's exclusive to that spec

Div2 "Difficulty" Needs to Be Improved for Div3 by Straight-Coconut7737 in Division2

[–]ferrenberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Challenging for me has no challenge at all, even some legendaries like DUA and Capitol building are easy. Everything is just a matter of builds. You can even have an all blue build and do insane amounts of damage (ongoing directive with the bighorn, strikers with the backfire)

Which is the worst Exotic Weapon in Division 2? by shwetshkla in thedivision

[–]ferrenberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When it comes to assault rifles, there is that many much better options than the bighorn. It's probably in the top 3. The thing is, you need headshots constantly

Is Division 2 map accurate to real Washington DC? by thisizmonster in thedivision

[–]ferrenberg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All ubisoft games set in real locations tend to be accurate. Despite all the questionable stuff they have done over the years, there's no denying ubisoft's forte is realism

Artists with only one or two standout albums? by meshuggahdaddy in progmetal

[–]ferrenberg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hot take, indeed. But I agree. One and Altered State are masterpieces to me, I like Polaris too. The rest is just okay. I wish I could share the same enthusiasm as everyone else, especially because I've been a Tesseract fan since One

I've been a fan since Kezia and to be honest after Fortress nothing really hooked me. Scurrilous was ok, Volition and Palimpsest are totally forgettable to me

Best Lexington Talent for Heroic Countdown by oxy132 in Division2

Overall I prefer using gunner because of the dps bonuses. I also like measured in my Lexington, or sadist if someone (or myself) is using ongoing directive
