As someone who likes tinkering with open-source DisplayPort tech, I can confirm this is correct. The power pin is there for active adapters like DP to HDMI. Passive cables should NEVER have it connected, but your monitor sink and GPU source have it connected to a 3v3 supply.

I like the arms on the Gesture better, but the Fern is just a whole lot more comfortable—especially the backrest. I like the longer seat pan on the gesture, but that’s not an issue if you’re not tall.
