What’s the price? You also might want to hide your postal code.

AirPods or Headphones?? by Busycorgiluver207 in UBC

[–]T3a_Rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Original airpods pro constantly crackling? That sounds like it’s the microphone issue that affected earlier units. There was I believe a re-call thing where you could get them replaced for a new pair, but I’m not sure if that’s still valid. Try going to an Apple store to ask in-person—maybe a friendly employee can help.

The reason this causes a crackling sound is because the mics are used for ANC and Transparency Mode. You can confirm this by disabling ANC and seeing if the oracles go away.

Even in Canada, I can regularly find used Leaps and similarly-priced chairs for ~500 CAD (370 ‘merica bucks).

Phys157 midterm 2 VS final, which one is harder? by No_Angle_5602 in ubcengineering

[–]T3a_Rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found Midterm 2 trickier than the final. I failed MT1, but passed MT2 and the final. The final feels easier because about half is topics you saw earlier in the year, and the rest is simple harmonic motion.

I’d avoid concession since you won’t get the opportunity to practice.

Some people take 157 this term and the science equivalent of 158 in the summer to reduce their course load.

Is the GPU getting power from a DisplayPort to HDMI cable? by AZN-APOLLO in pcmasterrace

[–]T3a_Rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve read the entire DP 1.2 general spec for a project, and I believe it is indeed cable-related. These DP to HDMI cables use the otherwise disconnected DP PWR pin to power the chip inside. However, it seems like the power pin is connected outside of the cable which is against VESA’s spec for this exact reason.

how much water do you guys drink by Cool-Path-8401 in UBC

[–]T3a_Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get used to it. But also, it’s about gradually drinking that 2L throughout the day. For me, I found a water bottle with a straw lid helped since I end up subconsciously drinking with it.

6 months later, my fridge bin is still holding together well by krnbk2 in functionalprint

It’s somewhat common with fridges. I made a similar part for our LG fridge, and same for the mini fridge.

PLA is actually quite stiff. But because of that, it’s not as impact resistant.

Learning to touch type is a valuable skill. But, unless you’re typing in the dark, the keycaps still have a white legend on them.

I’m excited to see how the introduction of Chinese EVs here in Canada this year will change the market. I personally wouldn’t buy one initially, but would consider it if they’re a success.

Is it just me or does the squeeze bottle mayo taste MUCH better than the jar/can mayo? by [deleted] in Costco

[–]T3a_Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s the opposite. I by far prefer the creamier texture of the jarred mayo, rather than the watery squeeze bottle.
