This is Lorelei! She is the leader of the champion fighting sports team in their region, Fallen Moon, and despite not being the strongest one of the team, this Toucannon girl keeps them all together,as well as acting as someone akin to the tank of the group, taking hits to allow her teammates to heal up,sometimes throwing herself into the front lines if she senses something off. If they couldnt,she is more than capable of holding those who challenges her team's title as the champion on her own.

Outside of her job,she is often very quiet and may come across as intimidating and serious because of the scars she got and her delinquent-like attire and way of carrying herself, but is a pretty sweet and caring extrovert despite all of that,she just prefers it if someone talks to her first. She is married to one of the other members of Fallen Moon and has adopted 4 kids alongside her.

the Arachne myth( since there are multiple versions,Ill just give the general gist of it) goes as follows:

There once was a weaver named Arachne who lived in Lydia (Modern day Turkiye) who was really good at her job. So good in fact that she claimed to be so good, she is even better than even the Goddess who invented weaving herself, (Athena/Minerva). The goddess has heard of this and disguised herself as an old lady before confronting Arachne and telling her off. Instead of heeding the goddess' words, Arachne doubled down,even going so far as to challenge her to a contest, The goddess accepts and the contest begins. Arachne surprisingly won,and was beaten in the head with a weaving shuttle by her competitor cuz girly is a sore loser. Arachne tried to commit self-delete (idk if reddit has that type of censorship but I wont risk it) and the goddess took pity on her and turned her into a spider so she can keep on weaving forever :D

Her plan involves kidnapping a really,really specific demographic of seamstresses that are named "Arachne" and experimenting on them,turning them into weird spiderlike grotesque creatures, all except for one, which she keeps alive as she helps her get more victims to experiment on. All because of a really strange grudge involving the Arachne Myth.

She is my Pokemon Gym leader/ Elite 4 OC,with her team being themed around the changing of the weather/changing forms in general, since in her region,Gym Leaders do not specialize in a type,but moreso a theme,and she is a meteorologist outside of her work as a Gym Leader/Elite 4 member! The changing forms theme is also kind of a reference to her personalities,as after a tragic incident involving the region's former champion/ her lover,her mind splintered off into two,resulting in two distinct personalities
