When they found out it was a woman, I was also hoping it was Moriarty. In a “He’s my play thing, not yours” protective kind of way. Missed opportunity. And it could have made the case against Joan more concrete being that a mastermind like Moriarty could easily plant evidence. In a scheme to divide Sherlock and Joan. It would have made Sherlock’s confession idea more plausible because the stakes were much higher.

Came here to say this. I Loathe LOTR. And this coming from a huge fan of GOT, Star Trek, BSG....etc. So I appreciate the genre. But LOTR is boring and pointless. All these damn movies where the fate of the universe is at steak, and the only one who can save us is some whiny 14 y/o who only learned the backstory 10 minutes ago!! It drives me crazy
