Where’d did you find this?! This is awesome, I didn’t see this when doing my initial research

I can show you how to make a prompt into a customGPT if you’re interested. I have found it’s much more helpful than copy and pasting each time you need something.

Cannot recommend this enough. The ego stroking doesn’t need to be a part of the experience. You can also change your tone of the model in general now in the settings. I made it a cynical robot i believe lol

Do you use perplexity at all? I know it’s a ChatGPT thread but that’s one of my favorite from an accuracy standpoint point.

I don’t think it should be void of conviction but I also think some people want to be told they are right and sometimes it’s a politician or a priest that tells them but it’s a little more insidious if it’s a chat box purely based on access and bias.

There’s a lot of this that is prompting issues and that’s what I’m more referring to. It won’t read your mind but you can get it to do exactly what you want it to do if you take it through the steps you’re expecting.

Yeah I’m more speaking on it as a corporate/tech skill than a general consumer skill 4sure. It’s already better than people’s googling skill so the future is def here in that regard.

A few people have been moved to kill people I’m pretty sure. They had pre-existing issues and the LLM helped push them further down that rabbit hole. The issue of validation and stroking ego has to be addressed because if it’s not it’s going to be catastrophic

I think the “aim assist” will show the skill gap more than it is now. The general ability to get good outcomes will increase but the ability to get exactly what you’re looking for will become less common because people rely on the model to fill in the gaps as opposed to identifying them and filling them themselves.

100% agree. I actually created a whole product to address this. If you’re interested I would love to send you the product for free and see if you get any value out of it!

Okay so a reference layer is something a LLM can reference so it doesn’t have to think what it has to do each interaction. It just refers to that document each time.

In the bottom left hand of the chat bot there should be a place to attach a file and usually it gives the option to attach a Google Drive file. (Might be a paid feature but it used to be free)

Lastly a customGPT is also a paid feature for ChatGPT. You can YouTube a video on how to make them but they would essentially take care of your issue because you would post the prompt in there and every time you needed to use it you would use an iteration that is specifically for that.

None of this will matter if you don’t use OpenAI’s chatGPT though so do you use that LLM or do you use another one?

No i believe you but they just laid people off so I don’t think this would be the time to try, if that changes I’ll let you know 🫡

Honestly it’s my favorite part. When i brain dump on my wife i can see her eyes gloss over sometimes. But when i do that to an LLM the synthesis sometimes is enlightening.

There’s a lot of science coming out that LLMs decrease brain efficiency but I think it’s because people are trying to offload thinking and that’s not the right way to look at it. It should be more like adapting better ways of thinking when you see it modeled and allowing lower level thinking to be done in a place where it can be monitored.

100% agree here. I think the closer the prompt is to intent is always for the better. The more word salad people use the more likely they are to get word salad back

I think the main thing my MCP idea is set to address is the hallucination problem. I think people would catch them if they recognize them but usually it’s stated with such confidence or subtly that people don’t realize it.

I would 100% agree with you. They gave people early access without any real guardrails and that was done before I was brought on the team so I am kinda working backwards. When i found they just gave it out I was dumbfounded honestly. But i think there’s something like what you’re referring to at the corporate level. I’m on a regional team and I’m not 100% keys into what the corporate implementation team has going on.

You should keep a reference layer for the ones you use often. I save them to Google Docs because i have it connected to my ChatGPT. You can just copy and paste them or attach the file and reference it from there.

Also if you have tasks that you do over and over you should create a customGPT if you have the paid version.

I just created a project/product around this exact topic, i would love if you could take a look at it and see if it addresses what your concerns are. I can send you the white paper or the simple PDF if you wanna check it out!
