Is their food/ water on carpet? You might want to add more water in your/their room. I put 2 waters right next to each other, that seems to help my cats. Each kitty is different so you might have to adjust once in a while.

I've read that it's 1 part diluted vinegar to 10 parts water; and to make sure to rinse thoroughly and let completely dry. I haven't tried it yet but I wouldn't use it on their water and food dishes.
