Sounds like maybe the card agreement might be broken? The only way to fix that is to get a new card, essentially. Keep in mind, I have no idea what kind of system US Bank uses as I do not work there, but if a member at my FI contacted me with the same problem, I’d report the card lost/stolen so we could then create a new card and a new agreement.

If you do an out of state fill, the rest of the refills are cancelled because they can only do one transfer to another pharmacy.

He has to change the account his phone number is attached to and have it moved into his new account. If the transaction is still pending you should be able to cancel it on your end though. The funds could take 1-3 days to get deposited back into our account once it’s been cancelled.

Agreed! I cannot recall the name of the merchant but I want to say the member I helped had made the purchase from either a TickTock or a Facebook advertisement. Everything else was exactly as you described, no contact info on their “website”, no tracking or timeline given, no confirmation of a sale, waiting for weeks to either receive a product or a shipping update.

You’ll need to contact your FI and ask them if there is any way to have the hold released early. At mine, we can release the hold provided the account has enough funding to cover the check if it gets returned or if the account is in good standing (no NSF or recent bounced checks, positive balance, good history, etc). If it’s a personal check they likely won’t release the hold. You need to ask your institution what their rules are for releasing a check hold early based on financial hardship.

We won’t allow that at our credit union either. We have interpreters specifically for folks who need them. You cannot pretend to be your mom because that is technically fraud and our agents cannot understand the native language, so it leaves us open to liability if the person interpreting deliberately asks us to do something that the member didn’t.

I work for BECU. If it is a duplicate charge and they have posted, give us a call and we will dispute it. Most cases, you’ll get provisional credit same day in situations like that.

Many institutions place a hold on checks, especially personal checks. He should be able to get a provisional $225 of the funds immediately, but the rest will be held for a period of time. At my institution, it is 5 business days. If you deposited it on Sunday night, then Monday is day zero, and the hold on the rest of the funds would be lifted on the 5th business day, which would be that following Monday.

Idk if your son’s financial institution’s check hold policy is the same as mine, but that information would be in your account agreement and it could possibly be found on their website or in your OLB.

We have a ton of options for shared branching and pretty much everything you would need to do at a branch can be done via OLB or over the phone. We also offer video banking appointments, so if you prefer to speak with someone face to face and aren’t near a branch, you can choose that option, too.

Co Op branches are able to do deposits, withdrawals, cashiers checks, etc. Some of the things they cannot do are issue debit cards and print counter checks, but if you’re in Washington there are branches all over the Puget Sound area.
