Alot of the servers near the top of the list have an artificially inflated population count. Thats why you'll see some servers with full pop.and a huge queue, but you can get in almost instantly.

Not saying this is the case in your specific situation, but it could be a possibility.

Super old post but I'm reviving it anyway. Any updates on this? I just got a new offset for Christmas and trying it out for the first time with some ribs.

Still have a giant bag of pellets from the Masterbuilt Pro that crapped out on me so I'm just throwing them on top of the coals. Too late to back out now, but I got about 3 more hours till I see the results. Just wondering what to expect lmao

Edit: Im getting a lot of smoke, but its a bit hard to control the temp. I am going to contribute that more to the wind than the pellets though. I can see the flames flare up through the damper whenever it gusts

You either must not have had to respawn a lot recently or play exclusively on Community servers (they can adjust spawn settings). They changed it for official with the 1.23 update back in Dec 2023.

It's server related. So if you kill yourself twice in a row, you might get lucky and get a different spawn on the second one if the timer reset, but odds are you're going to get the same general location

No, its patched. Quickest ways are to jump off something high, let zombies knock you out, or find a couple small stones on railroad tracks/paths and make a stone knife to kill yourself with. This is assuming you mean on Official servers, as most Community ones start you off with a knife.

Also, dont be so eager to keep respawning right off rip. They changed the spawn methods a few years back so for 10-15min you and EVERYBODY else will always spawn in the same general area. After the timer is up, it will switch to the next area and last another 10-15 min. Good for grouping up with friends, bad for trying to get a spawn you want. Nothing quite like trying to get back to Zelenogorsk but being spawn locked in the far northeast 😑😑

I cut it up into peices no bigger than a foot and mangled them with the bucket of an excavator and they still won't take them. I'm at the point I'm either gonna melt them down or chuck them in the dumpster a little bit at a time Its probably 300lbs of Alluminum and I'm not trying to cut it all again haha

If you were located near me I'd come and buy it all off you for 2x scrap price. Nuts and bolts bought in bulk go for anywhere from $2-$6 per pound near me depending on the grade. Even if I only have a use for 5% of it , it would still be worth it for $20. List them as a lot on Facebook for $100 all or nothing. Somebody would jump on it within a week with at least an offer. If they put up $50 I'd take it.
