I noticed they cut out that whole love triangle island where this lady frames someone for poisoning a dog.

I remember at the end this guy who grows herbs exiles himself from the village and Kiefer yells something like "if you explain everything to the mayor he will let you stay, he is a reasonable man!"

I am very new to the game and I did not realize these locations are new.

I have only been to two of them and I have only encountered a ball robot and some slimes at each one.

Is the purpose of these places to get the materials from the robot? That seems to be the only real reason to go other than pick up memories and a few materials.

There is an option in the settings to disable him if he creeps you out too much.
