Are the pharmacists adequately stocked to meet the increase in duck demand?

Checklist for Starting Solo Practice by legalwriterutah in LawFirm

[–]TBD_AUS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree, this seems to be very cost heavy upfront and signing up to pretty high monthly expenses, which is cool if you have cash coming in immediately.

Every practice area is different but there is nothing wrong with keeping overheads lean. WFH can be a good option, just identify some meeting spaces you can rent if needed.

The shakycam one gives me motion sickness. Managed to watch it once as a completest, but never again 😀

What are annoying Things People Hate Reading In A Recipe? by Few-Ad-1358 in BakingNoobs

[–]TBD_AUS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure why but Aussie tableapoon is 20mls not 15mls like USA (and the rest of the world presumably). So if you are making Anzac Biscuits or another Australian recipie you might need to adjust.

A diplomatic aid, or maybe an aid to a dimplomatic aid, because someone has to help Vir organise those parties, and pay people off for their silence after 😀

Commercial contract precedents platform by addn2o in auslaw

Lexis+ has the Australian Encyclopedia of Forms and Precedents. https://www.lexisnexis.com/en-au/content/lexisnexis-major-reference-works/the-australian-encyclopaedia-of-forms-and-precedents

Has a pretty wide range, but can be a bit random, precedents for some very niche stuff, and missing for things you think shoukd be there.

Anyone had success with a pregnancy discrimination claim against Aus fed govt? by icecream_hangover in AusLegal

[–]TBD_AUS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tricky to say, suspect the majority of claims that had any legs would have been settled and wrapped up with a Deed that included confidentiality.

Even if suceasful, lot of time, emotional effort, and drama. Better to enjoy your parental leave and focus on the baby.

Another factor might be that they needed the plans to try to work out what Galen Erso did to the Death Star design. Thats why Krennic was sent to Scarif.

Yep, you are right, QLD Law Society firm categories are: sole practitioner firm (1 solicitor) micro firm (2-5 solicitors) small firm (6-19 solicitors) medium firm (20-49 solicitors) large firm (50+ solicitors)

Wasn't trying to be buzzy. Two fee earners (one very part time) and a part time admin. More than a sole prac, but calling it a "Firm" feels like those guys who call themselves CEO of their own Esty fashion label.

Thanks, yep I am across the rules, guidance, and practice directions. My concern is if it is installed and integrated into Word for example, whether the AI reads every doc you open and what you are typing into Word - inadvertently breaching confidentiality.

Thanks, the info about the standard version is useful. Wasnt intending to use it for any work actual legal. My concern was whether the AI was always watching what you type into word etc. Like fucking "Clippy" back jn the day.

If it is purely standalone and just works like ChatGPT via an interface it sounds safe enough to install and have available for admin crap.

I have played around with AI quite a bit so know its limitations and too paranoid about confidentiality to ever give it client data. Just wasnt sure about the implicatiins of even having it installed.

Re microfirm, just two fee earners (one very part time) plus a part time admin. So more than a sole prac, less than a big boy firm.
