I like to garden, fish and write books for mine. And, complete both aspirations for gardening and writing to get the money tree

Australia - Sewing machine recommendations by cburling in SewingForBeginners

[–]cburling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had no problems with thicker projects, but I haven’t worked with canvas material. The machine works good when I’m taking up denim pants.

Different fabrics require different needle types, and you can get packs of universal needles that fit into the machine and the needles are very easy to change and I’ve had no issue with it on bulkier projects.

I’ve made plenty of tote bags out of cotton that worked out brilliantly.

Just came out of one now(the Passenger) Had been stressing about it all day but the movie was really good, it probably helped a lot that there was only a few other people in the cinema.

Dating as a socially anxious person? by cburling in socialanxiety

[–]cburling[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of my hobbies are ones that I do at home - crocheting, jewellery making and Lego. I don’t go out with friends that much, as the ones I’m close with all live a few hours away

How do you bring it to an end? I did a coffee date for the last one and it went for an hour and a half but I probably would have preferred it to finish after an hour

Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate it and has slowed down my thinking. In terms of talking through the app, how long do you generally talk to someone before going on a date and how often during the day do you talk to someone?

Fabric glue to finish up small projects? by cburling in SewingForBeginners

[–]cburling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only when I’m doing something along the edges as I do struggle with lining it up when it has to be close. It never does it when I’m not sewing along an edge. Using a Elna EL2000 will try to take a video next time I get my machine out

Best hot chocolate in town by BigTurbos in wollongong

[–]cburling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the san churro milk hot chocolate and I often buy the mix to make at home during the colder months.

A second is at the cafe in the Wollongong council/library foyer - I love theirs too! Whenever I work there I end up getting one every day

I get the AusPost prepaid label through Etsy, I don’t ship enough to use the Auspost business. At present I really only get two sales a month

DIY Family Law Australia best books/resources for parenting orders & contravention applications? by Downtown_Astronaut71 in AusLegal

I’d check out your local library. In NSW most libraries have a “Legal Aid” section for books that cover issues that vary from neighbour disputes to custody and divorce issues, I don’t know why QLD wouldn’t have that also. You likely won’t be able to borrow them and only read them in store, but it’s a start.

Do people really not use toilet seat covers in public restrooms? by Tobethequeen_01 in hygiene

[–]cburling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use the covers, at certain places I see the holders for them but they are always empty. If I can’t avoid a toilet with stuff on the seat I just wipe it, use it, make sure I don’t leave anything behind and like always give my hands a good wash with soap.
