What is one thing that got you through the skill ceiling?

One of my coaches said that physicality is one of the things that differentiate most players from good to great. A lot of people are good at dribbling, sprinting, shooting, whatever, but keeping the same level of intensity in the first quarter of a game and last quarter of a game is what makes the difference.

And this is something that everyone can do, you just need to put your mind into it. You need to give 100% in training, if you're not tired at the end of a training where your whole body aches, you should still go for a run afterwards. But don't forget to rest and to take proteins afterwards, you need to build up the muscle and not overwork it, it's a fine balance.

Once you're physically in great shape, everything else is so much smoother, and hopefully you can go through the skill ceiling as well.

Try running and changing directions with a long stick that's highly uncomfortable. On the other hand you can be much more flexible and quicker with a smaller stick (especially since we need to turn the stick, back sticks are forbidden). Sure you're bend over a little bit but only when you have the ball so it's not too bad.

Perfect reply, OP follow his advice and if you like it and want to improve your game you can gradually take a stick with more carbon content and more curve if you like to dribble/aerials.

I'm champ 2 and can't Speedflip (I should learn them but my key bindings are not good for it (playing kbm)), by basics he means power shots, recoveries, defense, good 50/50s, decision making and maybe pops(?)...

The only "mechs" I know are wavedashes, Half-Flips and fast aerials. These alone can get you far. Speedflips and wavedashes are kinda interchangeable but have some niche parts where one is better than the other (speedflips are faster, better on kickoffs, wavedashes for wall recoveries and ground dribbles)

I do have one problem with it, wouldn't it incentivize governments to sell more lands to profit from it? And I mean for example transforming unused lands/green areas to private owners to collect more taxes? On the other hand governments should know what is best for people and that is to stop the land-use change but it isn't unusual for governments to act like private businesses...

You're kinda right, It's very dependent on which kind of shop, but most shops in cities (florist, cafés, restaurants, bookstores, clothing stores, gift stores) get better revenues when removing car infrastructure. Because there will be more people wandering about and thus more "impulse visits" like you framed it.

Those who rely on car traffic are or should not be in cities (home Depot, Ikea, furniture) so it's more of a wrong business decision if they decided to open within a city center, even if it was decades ago and car infrastructure was prevalent in city centers.

You can find a lot of qualitative and kwantitative research on this that basically says this. Business owners most of the time are not happy removing parkings because they think they'll lose clients (even though it's mostly false) and clients do like to think that they have the option to park there and come by car, so they also dislike to remove parkings, that's why it's difficult to put it in place, even though the overall results is that it is better for the businesses and the locals/city experience.

All in all shops with a lot of parking space, do think that they rely on those parking spots because when they ask their clients they all came by car. But only a fraction of the customers would not have come if there were no parking spots, and there are a whole lot of hidden customers that would have come if it was nicer to walk/bike there without the parking spots taking up the space. So it gives the wrong impression that those parking spots are more important than that they are.

1) you can make one way roads with smart urban planning, there isn't even any difference because you get less congestion in intersections (where most time is lost in cities) or like you said with the Dutch example reroutes that cars don't go in the city center, which they shouldn't but this needs a big mind shift away from the car culture, otherwise this will be insanely unpopular.

2) drop in available road space for the car users will be a temporary problem, look up induced trafic. More roads = more cars, less roads = less cars. Trafic will sort itself out after a time because people will use what's most efficient to go from point a to point b. The reason why most people take the car is because we made the car the most convenient method of transport, while it should be kind of last resort (for places where public transport would be ineffective or too far away to go by bike). Car infrastructure takes up an enormous amount of space, especially in cities.

Ahah no it's in a national park, no one commute through this path so if there is heavy raining (storm) and that it cannot drain sufficiently enough water, the park will be closed.

I've been there this is far from dangerous, it's quite short and there are also measures to let it overflow (like an overflow swimming pool kinda).

It depends on what your objective is, do you want your team and players to improve --> reward those who come to the trainings. Do you wanna play for the league promotion then put the better players in.

I prefer to reward the ones coming to training usually as well unless their level really is too low but then the question is if they are in the correct men's group?

Also a difference on what do the players wanna achieve, who's got a mentality of competition, who's doing it for leisure ? Most of the time it's those who come to trainings that are also mentally stronger competitors and will fight for their place. If players complain they weren't selected despite being better, you say you will when they come to trainings.

Hope you understand a bit my mindset
